WHITEKNIGHTS ANIMAL RESCUE
Operating in Reading and surrounding areas, and across Berkshire. Rescuing and rehoming cats and advising on the needs and welfare of cats in general. They operate a non destruction policy which means that no healthy animal is ever put to sleep. Whiteknights is always full of cats awaiting kind, permanent homes. Also rescues rabbits and other small furries. All new homes are checked prior to adoption, and a donation is asked to ensure that a good home is found. An appointment must be made first, to view the various cats in their care. This is a small rescue operated by volunteers, and all funds go towards the welfare and care of the animals.

TVAW is a small charity based in the Henley on Thames, Reading, and Maidenhead areas and aims to rehome its cats and kittens within approximately a 20 mile radius of Henley. (Formerly the Animal Rescue Group, Wokingham) They have been rescuing and rehoming cats, dogs and other domestic animals for over 40 years, across Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire and Oxfordshire. Although a high level of funding is needed to keep the rescue ticking over, several generous legacies enabled the charity to relocate to their new, properly equipped Rescue Centre at Hurst in May 2003, where their animals receive the best of care until they are rehomed.

The National Charity helping elderly and terminally ill people to look after their pets. The Cinnamon Trust’s UK wide network of dedicated Volunteers offer support, enabling pets and owners to stay together. They provide dog walking, pet food shopping, feeding, cleaning, and will foster pets when owners need hospital or respite care.
Please Note: The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in, but if a pet becomes bereaved they will take on their full time, life-long care.
