Based in Carlisle, covering north Cumbria and South West Scotland. The charity rescues and rehomes cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas and poultry and occasionally farm animals. A home visit is carried out prior to adoption, and a donation is expected, to help towards their continuing work.

The branch has many lovely mature mogs in their care, longing for a comfy retirement home. Could you adopt an older cat, or perhaps become a long-term fosterer for a golden oldie?

Eskdale & District CP care for between 40 and 80 cats at any one time, and helping around 1,000 cats in total each year! They cover areas from Moffat to Longtown, and from Hawick to the outskirts of Dumfries. The National Charity helping elderly and terminally ill people to look after their pets. The Cinnamon Trust’s UK wide network of dedicated Volunteers offer support, enabling pets and owners to stay together. They provide dog walking, pet food shopping, feeding, cleaning, and will foster pets when owners need hospital or respite care.
Please Note: The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in, but if a pet becomes bereaved they will take on their full time, life-long care.
Cat Fosterers Urgently Needed: The Cinnamon Trust are looking for volunteers throughout the UK who are pet free themselves, and can offer short-term foster homes to cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care. Please contact them as below, if you can help.
