Hazelwood is run by a dedicated, experienced team of part time volunteers. The sole aim of the group is to help abandoned, injured and sick cats of all ages and fine new homes for them. The RSPCA Chelmsford, Brentwood & Mid Essex Branch is run by a committee who make decisions about how they can best carry out animal welfare work in the area. This is not a re-homing centre, and cannot accept animals from members of the public, but does have cats in foster care for rehoming. All cats will be neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. Little Darlings is based in Chingford on the Essex and London East border, and works to rescue and rehome cats in the E4 postcode area. This rescue works closely with other local charities and usually has cats and kittens looking for a new loving home; on occasion they may have dogs available.
All cats will be neutered prior to rehoming where they are old enough and a home visit will be carried out. They welcome donations of food, cat litter, bedding, blankets, towels, powdered milk and feeding bottles as they take in abandoned kittens as young as 24 hours old which are hand fed by kind volunteers.

The National Charity helping elderly and terminally ill people to look after their pets. The Cinnamon Trust’s UK wide network of dedicated Volunteers offer support, enabling pets and owners to stay together. They provide dog walking, pet food shopping, feeding, cleaning, and will foster pets when owners need hospital or respite care.
Please Note: The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in, but if a pet becomes bereaved they will take on their full time, life-long care.
