Neutering Assistance: Cats in Crisis is now an Associated Charity of the Cats Protection, and therefore they are able to provide low cost neutering for cat owners on benefit or low income. Transport can also be arranged.

LORD WHISKY ANIMAL SANCTUARY

The Lord Whisky Sanctuary Fund not only cares for and re-homes cats and dogs, but also cares for a variety of other animals: horses, goats, rabbits, fowl, and in more recent years, wildlife casualties including foxes, badgers, hedgehogs, and birds. The Lord Whisky Sanctuary Fund was named after a little Jack Russell whose history and character inspired the creation of the trust. Lord Whisky lived with the founder and her family for most of his 22 years.
The Lord Whisky centre would love to hear from you if you can offer a responsible,
permanent home to one of the many animals in ther care. The centre's other facilities
include two veterinary clinics for those on a low income (see below), acupuncture, behaviour classes, dog training classes and a gift shop.

Based throughout Kent, the charity rescues and rehomes abused,
abandoned and unwanted cats and dogs. They care for cats of all
ages, sizes and from many backgrounds until good loving homes
can be found. All homes are vetted prior to rehoming. They are a self-funded registered
charity (no. 2912973) and are always in need of good quality
bric-a-brac for fund-raising, and volunteers & foster homes
are desperately needed too. If you are looking for a new feline
friend to join your family, or if you wish to help in any way,

Neutering Assistance: They also
operate with the RSPCA to offer discounted neutering for cats
(& dogs & rabbits).

THE CINNAMON TRUST

The national charity for elderly people, and their much loved, much needed companion animals.
A network of 8,000 volunteers “hold hands” with owners to provide vital loving care for their pets. The trust aims to keep them together - for example, by walking a dog every day for a housebound owner, fostering pets when owners need hospital care, fetching the cat food, or even cleaning the budgie's cage. And when a pet is bereaved the Trust takes on their full time, life time care.
Short-Term Foster Homes Needed: Temporary, short-term foster homes are needed to care for bereaved cats whilst a Lifelong Home is being found, and also for when people need a hospital stay and require temporary foster care for their cat. Please contact us if you could help.
Lifelong Foster Homes Needed: Lifelong Foster Homes are required for cats left in the care of The Trust. Future Veterinary fees will be paid by The Cinnamon Trust. Please contact as below if you could offer a home for life to a bereaved cat.
Please Note: The Trust is not a rescue centre taking cats in for homing, but when an elderly owner dies, and their animal companion is left in their care, the Trust will do their best to find a loving, life-long foster home for them.
