ANIMAL RESCUE & CARE
Registered Charity no: 1095004
Covering the Borough of Richmond, Surrey, Middlesex and SW London, including Twickenham,
Hampton, Teddington, Kingston, Isleworth and Barnes. ARC rescue, foster and re-home domestic cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, (other animals are assisted where possible.) A registered charity, ARC is a small, local organisation run by volunteers. Animals are fostered in caring, private homes until they are rehomed, and then great care is taken to ensure each animal goes to the right home for them. No healthy animal is ever destroyed.
An appeal for the Older Puss >> ARC is absolutely full of Middle-aged Mogs and 'Senior Kittizens' of both sexes - all would dearly love a home, and have years of life and love left in them - could you adopt an older cat? The rescue cannot take in any more cats or help any others until they can free up some space. So, if you could offer a home to a Middle-aged Mog - please call!!!

Based in Downe, near Biggin Hill • Homing in Kent • Surrey • Greater London
Romney House is a sanctuary for what might be termed the 'harder to home' cats or, in some cases, the 'impossible to home' cats. Although many will not be suitable for rehoming to a domestic environment, some are - so if you are a special, patient, cat-loving person who would be willing to give a nervous or people-shy cat a chance, give them a call. Many of their permanent residents are available to sponsor - see their webpage, linked below, for details.

GODALMING CAT SANCTUARY
Helping homeless, unwanted, abandoned, sick and injured cats. The sanctuary arranges for any necessary veterinary treatment, and cares for them until new loving homes can be found. Some cats are cared for permanently, when there is no hope of rehoming. Feral cats are frequently taken in and where possible youngsters are tamed for rehoming. Adult ferals are usually trapped, neutered and returned, as they are more likely to survive better in the wild than caged, and are often not suitable for homing. This well kept sanctuary has been running for many years and the number of animals in their care is growing constantly, making any charitable donations received more vital than ever.
Handy-persons Needed: The Sanctuary would love to hear from any handymen or women willing to volunteer their help for some urgent maintenance work. Repairs are needed on the cat runs and chalets, to make sure the cats are warm and secure. Please call them if you can offer any help at all, or can donate materials etc. Thanks!
Based in Godalming, Surrey, they cover Guildford, Godalming and all surrouding villages.

THE CINNAMON TRUST
Registered Charity no: 293399
The national charity for elderly people, and their much loved, much needed companion animals. A network of 8,000 volunteers “hold hands” with owners to provide vital loving care for their pets. The trust aims to keep them together - for example, by walking a dog every day for a housebound owner, fostering pets when owners need hospital care, fetching the cat food, or even cleaning the budgie's cage. And when a pet is bereaved the Trust takes on their full time, life time care.
Short-Term Foster Homes Needed: Temporary, short-term foster homes are needed to care for bereaved cats whilst a Lifelong Home is being found, and also for when people need a hospital stay and require temporary foster care for their cat. Please contact us if you could help.
Lifelong Foster Homes Needed: Lifelong Foster Homes are required for cats left in the care of The Trust. Future Veterinary fees will be paid by The Cinnamon Trust. Please contact as below if you could offer a home for life to a bereaved cat.
Please Note: The Trust is not a rescue centre taking cats in for homing, but when an elderly owner dies, and their animal companion is left in their care, the Trust will do their best to find a loving, life-long foster home for them.

There are many excellent breed-specific rescues across the country - if you are looking for a Pedigree Cat - click the link below for Pedigree Rescues...

Harder to Home
Cats with minor health problems find it harder to be rehomed, yet rescue centres will often pay for their vet bills even after rehoming.
Shrinking Violets!
Very shy cats so often get overlooked, yet these can be the most loyal of pets once you have gained their trust.
