Please Note: Rotherham Rescue Rangers does not have a rescue shelter and their few emergency foster homes are used for desperate cases only. They regret that they are unable to take in unwanted pets and remind owners wishing to give up their pets that they have a legal obligation to provide adequate care until a suitable home is found.
Rescuing and rehoming unwanted, abused, neglected, old or sick cats and kittens through a series of foster homes, also spaying and neutering feral cats. Rescue Rangers are a small group of volunteers, neutering an average 300 cats each year, and rehoming around 150 cats and kittens annually. All cats homed are neutered, which is greatly assisted by Cat Protection, who sponsor their neutering vouchers scheme.

A small rescue, set up with the aim of helping cats in need in the Sheffield 8 postcode area. This busy inner city shelter always has many cats needing good homes. They care for up to 50 cats at any one time, and manage to find homes for around 400 cats every year. Sheffield Hallam branch was set up in 1980 and is run by volunteers. They home approximately 260 cats and kittens a year in Sheffield postcode areas. The Cinnamon Trust’s UK wide network of dedicated Volunteers offer support, enabling pets and owners to stay together. They provide dog walking, pet food shopping, feeding, cleaning, and will foster pets when owners need hospital or respite care.
Please Note: The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in, but if a pet becomes bereaved they will take on their full time, life-long care.
