Re: Hello
Catslave, your calling yourself a mad cat lady reminded me of something I was trying to forget ... I recently had an interview for a promotion at work. It was going well, when they threw me this curve ball ... "describe yourself in three words" ... it caught me off guard a bit so I said th...

Re: Such a scare
I'm so glad Rufus is feeling better :) Rosie has had a few very similar episodes over the past few years. The vet has never gotten to the bottom of the problem and she always bounces back after a few days. But it's always a worry. Really pleased your boy is fine now, what a relief it is when they ar...

Re: TC loose stools
Poor TC, I hope he's feeling better soon. When I had three kitties with upset tummies (all at the same time, what a mess!! ) I had a lot of success with probiotics. I now keep a box at home and at the first sign of a poorly tum mix one in their food. Always seems to work very well. I buy box...

You've both had a bit of a stressful day! Hopefully you can enjoy a nice quiet weekend to recover.
Fingers crossed the meds do the trick. Give Dave a big fuss from me

Re: Hello
I'm sure I recall reading something about the ginger/red gene or chromosome or something in torties and gingers being dominant, and that giving them a particular type of temperament ... and it's a similar gene or chromosome thingy bob that is seen in foxes ... Reading that back, I think perhaps I'd ...

Re: Hello
Great photo! Pongo fancies the Gentleman's Snoozing Club very much  Hi catslave 16, your old girl sounds adorable. So, what is typical tortie behaviour ... well we call ours the 'naughty torties' but it is officially known as Tortitude. As this link says, torties are strong willed and very poss...

Re: So scared for Dave
Love and best wishes for Dave from me and my cat crew too.
It's human nature to think the worst, I'm terrible for doing it. But it's only because we love the little monsters so much.
Try not to worry and give Dave a big fuss from me x

Re: Hello
That's hilarious ... but Pongo says no, it's far too energetic for his liking.
He will however consider some relaxing yoga ... like this ...

Re: Hello
Pongo isn't sure how he feels about looking like Tubby Tay ... he thinks he'd much prefer to be likened to a feline George Clooney!

Re: Hello
Thank you, they are a cheeky bunch. Daz eyebrow, yes!! One of my favourite photos was your lovely Daz trying to hide in the grass, but standing out like a sore thumb ... and as you said at the time, they didn't ask to be born white! Pongo is really greedy and would happily stuff himself silly, but I...

Re: Hello
Thank you so much for the kind welcome. I don't think Oddcat was oriental, but I can't sure sure. We rescued her from an ex-neighbour who abandoned her once she was no longer a cute fluffy kitten (they replaced her with a beautiful puppy, who they also gave away once he reached adulthood). Oddcat wa...

I just wanted to say hello, having finally joined this forum after many years watching from the sidelines ... I was starting to feel like a peeping Tom!! I have so enjoyed reading your posts and stories, you have made me laugh, and I have learnt a lot from you ... I have also shared your pain and te...

Re: Unsuitable to adopt - build outdoor enclosure before approaching rescue centres again?
RuthB, what a great suggestion, I couldn't resist a look and Opal & Ruby look like ideal candidates, what gorgeous kitties. I could also suggest Team Cat Rescue (based in Birmingham), where we had our little boy from a few years back. We don't allow our cats to roam, but we do have a catio for o...
