Banbury Animal Rescue and Kindness Service (B.A.R.K.S.)

Rescuing and rehoming in North Oxfordshire & parts of Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire & Warwickshire. They take in stray & unwanted cats, kittens, rabbits & guinea pigs and find them good, caring, approved homes. The animals are cared for by fosterers until new homes are found. Prospective adopters are subject to a home visit and an adoption fee is payable, (a non-refundable deposit is required if you wish to reserve a cat or kitten). BARKS receives no grants or funding, so all costs are covered by adoption fees, donations & fundraising.
Lost & Found Register: B.A.R.K.S (along with the Banbury Guardian newspaper Online) maintain a local register of lost & found pets
Volunteers Needed: More helpers are needed for fundraising events, e.g. bingo nights, jumble sales, car boots, toy tombolas and store collections.
Donations Needed: Good quality books, games, clothes, bric-a-brac etc. always needed for fundraising, and of course any donations of money are always much appreciated.

Cat Rehoming Stratford upon Avon

This small home-run shelter rescues and rehomes mainly kittens (unless the mother is still feeding them). Adult cats are neutered prior to rehoming, and neutering of kittens is arranged when they are old enough, even after adoption. Home checks are carried out for all potential homes. All cats and kittens are vet checked prior to re-homing.

Twilight Cats is a small, privately run rescue dedicated to providing tender loving care to cats in their twilight years. All cats will be vet-checked, neutered, vaccinated (if appropriate for their age / health), microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas prior to adoption. A minimum fee of £50 is required to cover this.

Homechecks are carried out, and animals will not be adopted to homes on busy roads. Indoor-only homes are needed for cats with special needs.

Cinnamon Trust - Homes Needed UK Wide
Cat Fosterers and permanent homes always needed. The Cinnamon Trust (the National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets, Reg. charity. 293399) are looking for more volunteer homes throughout the UK. Pet free homes are needed for short-term fostering of cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care. Permanent homes needed for cats whose owners have died or who are no longer able to care for them. The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in.
