“Silva” (pictured) was rescued from children who had taken him and his newborn siblings away from their feral mother.  Having had no chance to suckle them, she did not develop any milk and therefore would not accept the kittens once she was trapped and settled in a suitable cage.  Since we could not handle her at all, we could not coax the kittens onto her in order to bring her milk on.  She was therefore spayed and returned to her devoted feeders; her babies were hand-reared and they grew up to be healthy and affectionate kittens.

In a densely populated city like London that has a massive stray cat problem, this story is not unique.  Too many un-neutered cats are abandoned; left to an outdoor life where they form feral cat colonies, living hazardous lives, often undernourished and poorly.

Please help our work by offering homes to rescued feral cats and kittens - like Silva and his brothers and sisters - all of which have been tamed and rehabilitated before they are adopted.  All our mother cats are tested for FIV and FeLv and new homes are vetted.

Since most of our branch volunteers are  living on the west side of the city, we give preference to homes in Central, West and South-west London, Surrey and Middlesex, but, time permitting we do occasionally travel further.
