Remembering with love, those special cats who have left pawprints on your heart.

This gallery of remembrance was set up following the loss of our dear George Cat (right), who was one of the founding felines of the Cat Chat Charity, and a very special little rascal!

This page is a place to remember your much loved cats, but also a way to pay a real tribute to them, by helping other cats in need. Therefore, we are asking for a small donation to the Charity to place your tribute here. Tributes will remain on the remembrance gallery for a minimum of a year.

Remembering Bandit
? 1990 – November 2005

It’s over two years since you had to go, after a year of unexplained illnesses. You came as a stray, living rough somewhere in our neighbours’ gardens, creeping in at night to steal our resident cat’s food. But you were so affectionate that we eventually surrendered to you. From 1998 you were part of the family, sitting on my desk when I was working, on my knee when I was watching TV and on the bed when I was sleeping.

Bandit, I miss you still.

(17 March 1995 - 23 April 2008)

To my beautiful baby girl, Smudge.
Your pain is over now bubba, you can be your cheeky and kitten-like self once again. I hope you are with Cassie, and you are playing and cuddling up together like you used to. I miss you so much, home isn’t the same without you, but I know it is time to say goodbye. You’ll always be with me Tickles, and will always be in my heart.

I miss you baby, I love you, night night x

30/05/1998 - 05/03/2005

Seth (Chunky Monkey) you will always mean the world to me and I love you and miss you so much, even three years on. You were so playful and funny and always my shadow, you left a huge hole in my heart that will never heal. I'm so sorry for all the pain and stress the vets put you through, I hoped that they would make you better. I hope you are free from pain now and that you are waiting for me at Rainbow Bridge.

Remembering Kevcat

Kevcat, you were the most wonderful, amazing cat. You have always been with us, through thick and thin. Never judging, just being there.

You died quickly, without pain, aged 15 - it was such a shock.

You have left such a big hole, bigger than we ever thought possible while you were still here. But you also left fantastic memories of love and companionship that we will all treasure forever, a special part of our family - these memories will fill this hole.

We will always miss you, and always love you.
Daddy, Mummy, Caithlin & Meredith, and faithful friend Katie-Kitten.

Remembering Max

Max was a very special cat
He didn’t deserve to die like that
He might have been a bully in an earlier day
But the hounds of hell, to that, put pay.

He had a big personality
That was as long as it was tall
Until we met him
We weren’t cat people at all.

He’ll be remembered in oh, so many ways
How he used to brighten up our days
Kneading my fluffy dressing gown was a favourite of his
And at hiding mice under blankets he was a bit of a whizz.

Rest in Peace, our big ‘baby boy’

Remembering Dillon

You can shed tears that he is gone
Or you can smile because he lived
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back
Or you can see all that he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him
Or you can be full of the love and the devotion that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind and be empty
Or you can do what he would want; smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

In memory of Dillon, much loved companion of Johanna & Paul.

In loving memory of Bertie
1998 - 23/12/2007

Bertie from the moment I saw you at the Rescue I knew we would be lifelong friends and soulmates. I will miss your constant chatter and companionship. It all happened so suddenly and when they said they did not think you would make it, I came back to make sure I could be there with you when they put you to sleep. I whispered in your ear how much I loved you.

I hope to see you at the Rainbow Bridge
you will never be forgotten and always in my heart.

"I've learned that I can cat-proof my house, but I can't cat-proof my heart."

In loving memory of Misty
Left this life 1st November 2007

My beloved friend of 11 years, it broke my heart to let you go but to wake you from your operation and bring you home when you were so ill wouldn't have been fair to you. I'm grateful I was able to hold you before you went to sleep and that your last memory was of me holding you tight and stroking you to calm you. I wish I could cuddle you just once more but I'm thankful that we had a lovely last evening, when I told you it might be our last together in this life, and how much I loved you. You were such a character, my soulmate, so loving, always full of cuddles and kisses.

Thank you for being in my life and giving me such pleasure.
I'll never forget you.

BYRON
14/10/1994 (Finchley) - 01/11/2007 (Ayr, Scotland)

My beautiful wee girl, Byron went to sleep yesterday morning.  The illness took over so quickly - we didn't want you to suffer.  I wasn't there to say goodbye but Grandma sat with you until you went to sleep. Your sister spent her first night ever without you last night – you’d always been together since your cat mummy’s tummy.  Byron, my silly daft cat, running about like an eejit chasing things that were never there.  Now you're not there.  Always purring and doing curly-burlys on demand.  Sleep a little, gather your strength and then you can play forever in the land of tir-na-nog. When I get to the Bridge, I hope you'll be waiting for me.  I know you'll be waiting for your sister too.

You're forever in my heart, Byron.
Love you always, Mum xx

Tibby
19.7.1989 - 2.7.2007

For almost 18 years, the furry, purry, black and white member of our family, with your beautiful green eyes, and immaculate white bib and paws. Your huge rumbly purr was often heard.  How you loved stroking and tummy tickling.  In the garden, lying in the sun, watching the birds, climbing trees and sometimes catching a “present”, or supervising your family were your favourite things.  Food was always welcome, but your body clock somehow always ran early!

The years slipped away, and you were no longer young... loosing you was so hard.  We buried you in the garden, where you had spent so many happy hours, on a sunny afternoon, and many tears were shed.

How we miss your welcoming PRRUUMMP, your nose butting and licks, your patiently waiting to greet us coming home.  Dear Tibbs, thank you for bringing us so much joy, and leaving us so many memories.

Be at peace now.
Love from Rosanne, Roger, Lucy and Matt  XXXX

Stewy
March 2000 - 12th September 2007

I fell in love with you the instant I laid eyes on you. I knew you were going to be special from the start, your loving nature made every day we had with you fun. I will miss giving you your belly rubs that you loved so much. You were my big boy right up until the time we lost you. We miss you and Barbie so much and losing you both so close to each other was hard, but we take comfort in the fact that you are both together now.
Rest peacefully big boy.

Marmite (Barbie)
Nov 1999 - 21st September 2007

You were my first cat and so special, laying purring in my arms paddling me. You had such a zest for life and easily became a surrogate mum to Stewy as soon as he joined you, it's right that you are both together now. It hurts not to see you sunning on the window ledge or being my shadow. Sorry we couldn't say goodbye to you when you left us but it was so sudden and unexpected. We know you will wait for us with Stewy so nite nite god bless big girl.

Remembering Ozzy
10/04/05 - 17/07/07

To my beautiful boy: Thank you for making the past 2 years of my life very, very special. You have kept me company, made me laugh and smile and words can not express how much I'll miss you. I'll miss your superb stretches, how you loved hanging upside down, how you'd come and pat me round the face to wake me up, watching the T.V., the way you would come and greet me when I got home, how you would recognize my car and come running down the road, knowing you would always come home, sitting on the wall together outside, playing games, how you'd nip my ankles in the morning if I didn't feed you straight away, all the cuddles and most of all I'll miss your beautiful face.
I'm sorry I didn't notice your illness, you kept it so well hidden and I'm sorry that the tumour had destroyed so much of your lungs - I can't believe you'd been breathing with just that tiny piece of lung. I guess that shows what a strong, brave cat you were.
I'll never forget you and you'll always be my number 1.

Sleep well Ozzy. Love always.

Fred
6th April 1993 - 5th May 2007

We all really miss you Fred - you were such a special cat! Always calm, friendly and kind to everyone who met you. We keep expecting to see you wandering over to say hello or sauntering over to see our neighbours, Emma and Ann (they were so sad too!). The house and garden seem empty without you but at least you are now with Barney again and you can keep each other company again - curl up nice and warm! Take care, handsome!!!!

Tribute to Holly
25 October 1991- 9 May 2007

Holly was my companion and friend for nearly 16 years. Black all over, and retaining her kitten-ish features to the last days of her life, Holly lived for the outdoors and loved nothing more than to explore her garden territory, and all that it offered. She also enjoyed performing like a ballerina on the fence, and was an extremely agile and nimble footed cat. Alternatively, she often liked to laze in the sun in a relaxing spot, seeking food and attention when she wanted it. She also had to avoid being chased by Rusty from time-to-time (who died earlier this year and has his own space on this site)... Holly loved her fish, including tuna but especially sardines (with tomato sauce!). She loved nothing better than to be tickled on her tummy, or around her ear, her favourite spot. People were surprised as to how old Holly was, and the illness that affected her in her last few weeks was cruel indeed. But I wish to remember the many, many happy times we had since she first came into my life in early December 1991, and can only reflect that Holly has left an extremely large paw print on the pages of several chapters of my life, which will never be erased from my heart.

Remembering Rosie
8/4/05 - 10/8/06

In memory of beautiful Rosie (Posie) cruelly taken by a hit and run driver, thankfully found by very considerate children who phoned me and waited with her. She was pretty, a great hunter and all round adventurer, loved paddling in the stream in the garden and sitting in the water left in the shower. Loved watching me clean my teeth, sitting on top of the toilet cistern, giving head butts if she got the chance. Abandoned as a baby and rescued by me from animal refuge with Maggie. Never forgotten - buried beneath the pear tree in the garden.

Sleep tight little girl.

Tribute To our Felix
the most loving cat of them all

To our Fiddle, the little character that brought so much joy to our lives. 17 years you were in our hearts and we are all devastated that you're gone. We got you from the rescue as a tiny kitten with no whiskas because someone wanted to cut your life short, so we gave you the bestest life for 17 happy years. We can't remember what it feels like to be without you, I keep expecting you to come running to the door and mowing to get by the fire, it doesn't seem real that you're gone. I can't belive we won't see your cheeky little face again making us laugh and feel so much love. It's only been a day but feels like a lifetime, we miss you so so much. We never thought that you would go, we imagined you there forever, we thought the tablets would work and you would get better until the vet said how bad it now was, we where hysterical cause we loved you so much, even in your picture here at the end you looked so young. But you where a little fighter and fought til the end still giving us love through the pain but you couldn't carry on any more, it wasn't you any more. We will always remember your paddy dancing, the way you chased the flies, how vocal you were saying hello when we would let you in, loving the sun in the garden, the way you lay on the bed guarding us, we could never replace our little man. The house seems empty without you and not hearing your little bell jingle through the hall again breaks our hearts, what will we do without our Fee?You were brave til the end and will be looked after now by me nin and grandad, just wish we could see you back to your old self one last time, we miss you always we can't stop the tears, we have lost one of the foundations of our family, we want you back so much.

all our love forever, your family.

Remembering Rusty

Yes, Rusty was a truly special cat. Although Rusty only had one eye, this did not stop him enjoying life. Rusty loved his meal times, and would happily eat three meals a day if you let him! He was very much an indoor cat, but he still loved the sun on his fur, and would mooch around to look for the best spot. Rusty also loved to chase his sister Holly, but it wasn’t malicious, to him it was just fun. But most of all, Rusty loved people, being a true “lap cat” and enjoying human company.

He is truly missed and the thought that he has at last found peace and further happiness at Rainbow Bridge makes me very happy.

Remembering my silver princess - Dusty
May 1989 - 2007

You are unique, beautiful and of course my best friend.
I told you everything when nobody else would listen, and you would look at me lovingly the whole time. I have kept your claw in my locket and a lock of your fur under my pillow, but the best memories of all are in my heart. I miss you so much and I hope you like the shrub we chose to plant over where you are buried. It smells of honey, and that's just what  you were-ARE to me, my honey. I will never forget you, you are always going to be my best friend. I love you.

Remembering our beautiful Jonesie: March 2006 18 yrs

You came into our lives and what an impact you made.
We still remember the day you strolled into our lounge, looked at us as if to say 'I know you will love me and take care of me, can I stay?'. It was the best decision we ever made.
You were the most intelligent and perceptive cat ever, you knew when we were down, and raised us up. You knew when we were up and shared it with us.
You were our friend, and our confidant.
You gave us so much unconditional love, we will never forget you or the thousands of happy memories you have left us with.
We could never replace you. That would be impossible as you were one in a million.

Sleep well little one, until we meet again at Rainbow Bridge.
We love and miss you so much

Remembering Kyle (Kylie Wylie)
? – 10 November 2005

My little Kylie Wylie, with me from 07 May 2005 – 10 November 2005.  You came to live with me after you were taken to a local vet as a stray.  You were in very bad health, matted and thin, and they had to remove part of both your ears. The nurses named you Kylie, only to later discover you were a boy, and named you Kyle, somehow you ended up with the nick name Kylie anyway.  I fed you up and bought you toys and you blossomed into a handsome, happy, playful cat.  When your ear became infected and sore, you endured numerous trips to the vets before cancer was diagnosed, which had progressed beyond surgery, and there was nothing they could do. I came to the vets and held you cuddled up on my lap until you went to sleep peacefully.  I didn’t have you very long, but you were the cutest, cuddliest cat anyone could ever wish for.  I’m glad you came to live with me, and that I was able to give you those months of being spoilt and loved, I am just sorry it was for such a short time.

I loved you very much and you will always be missed xxx
