Remembering with love, those special cats who have left pawprints
on your heart.
This gallery
of remembrance was set up following the loss of our dear George Cat (right), who was one of the founding felines of the Cat Chat Charity, and a very special little rascal!
This page is a place to remember your much loved cats, but also a way to pay
a real tribute to them, by helping other cats in need. Therefore, we are asking
for a small donation to the Charity to place your tribute here. Tributes will remain on the remembrance gallery for a minimum of a year.

In Loving Memory of Spike
16th April 2007-18th March 2009
To Spike our Beautiful Baby Boy...
A year today since you were taken too soon. Think of you every day.
Your bed will stay under the table always – Miss you so much.
If tears could build a stairway, And memories were a lane,
I’d walk right up to Heaven, To bring you home again.
Our hearts still ache with sadness, And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you, No one will ever know
No time to say Goodbye but Love you forever Ickle Spickle (little man)

To My Brave Nico
2008 - February 13th, 2010
My angel, my baby… I’ll miss you waiting patiently outside the bathroom door, I’ll
miss kissing your soft warm ears and the way you’d run after me for our occasional glass of milk. I’ll miss feeling your chubby little body at the foot of my bed. I’m sorry my baby that you got hurt and that I couldn’t find you for 13 days, mama tried so hard, I’m sorry you had to feel pain; I would do anything to turn back time. I love you and will miss you forever… have fun running freely through the meadows of Rainbow Bridge.
Until we meet again my beautiful.
Love always,
Your Mama |

Maxim
July 1994 - Feb 15th 2010
Darling Maxim, Maxie, Miggy Man, Boo-Ba. You were the light of life my life for
nearly 16 years.
You made everyone feel special, but you and I had the most special
bond of all. Everything I do, you are missing. I look for you everywhere. I wake up
and remember you are gone. You had such a beautiful way of being that there is a
vast emptiness where you used to be. You were never afraid of anything, right up to the end. You gave such love, so unconditional, so pure, so serene. Words cannot
express how much I love you or how much I miss you.
I am so grateful to have spent
that time with you and I will never forget you, never stop missing you
I have
learned that we should all be more like you.
Thank you. |

Penny left us on Monday 18th January 2010
To our beloved Penny (aka Pennylicious) who left us too soon. It's breaking our hearts. We miss you staring at the radiator, dragging the bath mat off the radiator for warmth, playing with your disco pole (scratching post), sitting on top of the wardrobe when you wanted your own space, sitting on the back of the chair doing nothing. We miss you at dinner. You were great a great friend to us and a very important part of our lives. We so miss you, Penny. Lots of love.

I miss you so very much by darling baby boy.

May ( ? ) 1996 - 11th December 2009
My likkle boy. So fragile and flawed, yet affectionate and warm. I will forever love and miss you and your funny little ways.
I wish so much to have had longer with you, but every day was a heavenly gift. At least I am thankful to have been beside you at the end.
If there really is a Rainbow Bridge, I can't bear the thought of how long I have to wait to be reunited.
Goodbye poppet.
Your loving family.

14th April 2005 to 20th November 2009
You came into our lives like a ray of sunshine, just you and your sister spook. You made us happy every day and we loved your personality and your happy and playful streak. You loved your box and your treats - you just loved everyone. Sadly you were taken from us all too suddenly and have left a hole in our hearts. We love you and will never forget you. We will look after your sister. We wish you were still with us but we WILL meet you again - Enjoy the Rainbow Bridge with Sooty, Tiger, Thomas, Freebie, Lucky and Claude - they are all going to love playing with you, little one.

REMEMBERING OUR DARLING BOY - TOBY
1991 - 2009
Toby darling, you were a true gentlemen – you never scratched anyone, never fought your brothers or sisters, and you gave us all such love every day of your life – if you had been human you would have worn a velvet smoking jacket! Today the world seems just a little bit greyer that you are gone, yet a lot brighter because you have been here. Sleep softly darling and cuddle up with little Colin who is waiting there for you. We will never forget you - and you will always be Mummy’s darling boy.
We love you millions, from Mummy, Chris, Twiddle, Barry & Molly

Remembering Sammy
Who went to Rainbow Bridge in August 2005
You came into our lives as a stray and were so frightened and thin that you wouldn't even come near us when we left food out for you for a year and lived under the holly bush. Gradually we won your trust and you moved in to live with us. You made our lives complete and we were happy and honoured that you chose to come to be with us as our darling
companion. You were such a fine cat, and a real gentleman.
So loved and longed for always darling Sam.
Until we meet again.

Precious Emerald
1997-2009
Emerald was a gorgeous girl who rescued me three years ago when I met her in our local Cat's Protection foster pen. Her huge and confident personality was matched only by her loud and distinctive voice, used to great effect when I was sleeping. She filled my heart and my life and her going has left a void and sadness which is a real tribute to her steadfast friendship, despite poor health at the end. 'Embley-bum', my very precious wonky tailed old girl who will never be replaced, see you at The Bridge kiddo.
With love forever,
from your mum xxx

TRIBUTE TO BANDIT
1990 - 2005
It’s been such a long time since you had to go, after a year of examinations and pain. You were so special, though you were just a black moggie and a stray. Determined to stay, creeping in at night through the cat flap and making friends with our reluctant resident cat, you brought calm affection and endless pleasure. I still wait for you to slide round the door and jump up onto my desk for your morning brush. If only………
Bandit, I still miss you so much |

To Googlie Bear - Fang
September 1997 – 1st May 2009
My adorable, I didn't want to let you go, but I wanted to do the best for you. You were the most affectionate, sweet, clever, caring, mischievous and often comical little boy - I miss you so very much each and every day. I still look for you in all your favourite spots in the house and in the garden, life just isn't the same without you. You lit up my world like a shining star and brought me so much happiness, thank you for everything. I hope that where you are, you are happy and being looked after until mummy can join you, I long to hold you close in my arms again. Until then sleep well my adorable. I love you so very much, you will always have my heart now and forever.
All my love always

My little sweetie. We were so suddenly parted two years ago and I still love you and grieve for you as much today as ever. You were such a little cat with such a huge personality and I miss you every day of my life. You really were one in a million. Play hard at the Bridge, babe, until we meet again.
Night-night, wee Bob, I'll see you in the morning.
In my heart and soul forever.

Remembering Amy ('Moo Moo')
1992 - 20th April 2009
My little baby - a complete joy for 17 years of your 18 year life - how lucky I was to know you and look after you. Such a pretty and vivacious girl with a miaow that was not meant to be ignored, if we were silly enough to ignore you you just shouted even louder. I know my grief will get easier in time and the years of being a best friend will far outweigh that in the long run.
Never to be forgotten

Remembering Pickford (The Brave)
1996 (approx) to April 2009
When Pickford arrived as a scruffy, hungry, nervous stray cat, little did we know what an adorable, affectionate, handsome lad he would become. It took months of patience to win his trust, but finally 'Sparecat' moved in and became Pickford. Despite his various health problems, Pickford made the most of every day. He adored fuss, fuss, more fuss, and he was a total catnip junkie. We were incredibly privileged that he chose to share the last four years of his life with us, as he slowly became the magnificent cat he always deserved to be.
Bye for now Pickford the Brave, ('Private Pickford')
Love you always and forever

2003 - 26th Jan 2009
My lovely girl, I found you five years ago and you accompanied me through your whole life. It is hardly believed you are gone, I'd rather think that you just have a catnap than accepting you will never come back. I miss you so much and wish you have a happy life in Rainbow Bridge.
Sleep well and always love you.

In Loving Memory of Smudge
1995 - 17th December 2008
We got you from a rescue centre when you were eighteen months old, and since then we have shared twelve happy (and mad!) years together. We will all miss how you would take your prawns out of the bowl and eat them off the kitchen floor, and how you would attack mam’s legs on a night before bed. I will really miss how you would come running to see if I was ok when I was singing cos you thought I was in pain!
The house is so empty without you Smud, we miss you so, so much but we know you had a great life with us and you made us smile every day with your mad ways!
Love you lots, we will never forget you, sleep well

For Rufus, also known as...
Ruffie, Ruffie Roo Roo, Fatty, Rufus Dufus & Rufus Pooface (an unfortunate rhyme that became a nickname).
2002 - 2008
Dear Fatty, For you this poem I write
As my way of saying sweet dreams and sleep tight
My cowardly lion, timid like a mouse
But still King of the garden, man of the house
Brave little warrior, you fought to the end
Now you've earned your rest, my beloved friend.
Cancer took you from us much too early.
We will miss you forever.
Love always baby boy from Mummy & Daddy. |
