CAT CHAT’S ROLL OF HONOUR – NOVEMBER 2009

The cats on our Roll of Honour are just a small selection of cats homed through Cat Chat.

Cat Homed - Ann & Bills Cat and Kitten Rescue, Essex

NESSIE
Nessie’s “Top Cat” photo was seen on CatChat, and it was the cat for a Mum and Daughter. They came and saw Nessie, but we did show them other cats. They then went away to think, but came back within 10 minutes and said she was for them. So thanks again CatChat!
ANN AND BILL'S CAT AND KITTEN RESCUE, ESSEX (November 2009)

Cats Homed - Kirkby Cats Home, Ashfield, Nottinghamshire
MALAKYE (Left) AND HORACE (Right)
Horace sent us this note – “I did it, I found Malakye and me a home and it’s a lovely home too. We currently have a whole double bedroom to ourselves and we had chicken on the first night. I didn’t know it was chicken as I’ve never had anything like that before but Malakye told me all about it. We had a bit of trouble to start with as Malakye was scared, but he’s getting used to it slowly and I’m helping him. So thank you to our new Mum and Dad for finding us on Top Cats and thank you to all of you at CatChat for helping make our dream come true."
KIRKBY CATS HOME, ASHFIELD, NOTTINGHAM (November 2009)

Cat Homed - Kirkby Cats Home, Ashfield, Nottingham

JAMIE
Another lucky boy was Jamie who went on the website on Friday and moved into his new home on Sunday after being seen on our page. Thank you once again and especially for helping Malakye as he has got to be one of our biggest challenges so far, although I’m sure we’ll have another shortly!
KIRKBY CATS HOME, ASHFIELD, NOTTINGHAM (November 2009)

BUDDY, OPAL & RUBY, TEDDY

All of these cats are now homed thanks to being seen on our CatChat page. Buddy: a friendly 2 year old lad was found straying in someone’s back garden. Opal & Ruby: a pair of black semi-long haired females, and our dear little Teddy. Thanks again!
CAT ACTION TRUST 1977, NUNEATON & HINCKLEY BRANCH (November 2009)

Cat Homed - Ann & Bills Cat and Kitten Rescue, Essex
PENNY (Pictured) AND FARTHING
This is another happy pair of kittens, they did not go together, but they have both got very good homes. CatChat helped this happen. Thanks again.
ANN AND BILL'S CAT AND KITTEN RESCUE, ESSEX (November 2009)

Cats Homed - NAWT, Thurrock, Essex
STANLEY (Left) AND PRINCESS (Right)
A big thank you to CatChat for enabling us to find good homes for yet more cats. Poor Stanley was found caught up in bushes and unable to free himself he had become dehydrated. Life is now good in his new home. Princess came to us as her owner died and she too has started a new life. Kitten James never got on to CatChat but his new owners learnt of us through CatChat and made contact which ended successfully for Kitten James. A successful period!
NATIONAL ANIMAL WELFARE TRUST, THURROCK BRANCH (November 2009)

Cat Homed - Haverhill and Stour Valley Cats Protection, Suffolk

More thank you messages coming from Cinders, Stiltz, and the lovely Alisha! All have been homed through Catchat, as well as Tizzy and we are sooo delighted. We had space for the first time in ages and now we have no space as other homeless felines have crowded up the queue for our upmarket accommodation and starring roles on Catchat. BELFAST ANIMAL RESCUE. (November 2009)

Cat Homed - Ann & Bills Cat and Kitten Rescue, Essex

We have just rehomed Hamish to a lovely lady who has always had cats. Unfortunately, the lady lost her last cat through illness, so a friend found us on CatChat, the lady saw Hamish and decided that he was for her. Thank you CatChat.

Cat Homed - Pawz For Thought, Tyne & Wear
PAIGE
Paige was re-homed quite some time ago via a lead from CatChat and we have had so many enquiries for Paige where we have then been able to home other cats. Just today we re-homed a ten year old cat from someone who rang about Paige. Susie (our black short haired ten year old) was not on our site or yours, but now has a brill home due to the fact Paige was still on CatChat.
PAWZ FOR THOUGHT, TYNE AND WEAR (November 2009)

Just to let you know Bagpuss has now been re-homed. He was seen on your CatChat website, thank you.

SCRUFFY (pictured), JAYJAY & ROBBIE
I am really pleased to tell you Scruffy has been re-homed after being seen on CatChat – along with two of our other long term residents, JayJay and Robbie! Scruffy is enjoying his new home and loves being able to play with the other cats. The couple who gave these 3 cats a home had seen the special appeal and wanted to adopt some cats that had been at the shelter longest.

Little Maisie soon found a new home after a less than desirable start in life, she's gone to a young girl and we think she'll be happy and spoilt. Lovely, gentle Katie who diligently nursed her litter and saw them move on also found someone to love her, she is reported to have settled well. Both of these lucky cats can thank Cat Chat for their new homes and start in life.

Treacle our pedigree who hated men, other cats and the rescue has moved in with his new mum, now happy as he has his own place with no other cats and his own human he is reported to be friendly, affectionate and greedy. Plain little black Soots who was the most charismatic bundle of bones and scabby fur you could ever meet demanded her new mum took her, she has since contacted us to say that she is in love and Soots is perfect. Both of these lucky cats can thank Cat Chat for their new homes and start in life.

Cats Homed - Bristol and Wales Cat Rescue, Bristol, Avon TEDDY (and Yogi, Miley, Melody, Saffy, Rainbow, Destiny, Kirby, Nimbus, Del Boy, Raquel, Minty, Maisie, Jessie, Katie and finally last but not least Evie!)
A special mention for our stray ginger boy Teddy with the in-growing eyelashes; he’s been adopted by a lovely couple, had his eyes operated on and can see properly and without pain for the first time in ages – he was seen on CatChat! We’ve also re-homed lots of beautiful kittens including: Yogi, Miley, Melody, Saffy, Rainbow, Destiny, Kirby, Nimbus, Del Boy and Raquel. Their change of luck was entirely due to them being seen on Top Cats.

All of the above cats were re-homed as a result of CatChat webpages. Sometimes prospective new ‘parents’ ring to ask about a cat they have seen on the web only to find that it has already gone but invariably they end up visiting and taking another home with them. Also two kittens from a foster mum. Quite an achievement!

Thank you once again for your help.

ANGELA
Very exciting news after all this time (she’s waited patiently for two years!) Angela has definitely found her forever home. She has everything a cat could wish for, a lovely family to care for her, a fabulous garden to play and laze about in and even a meadow to explore! No longer is she a grumpy girl, now she is very loving and happy. What a great story. Her adopters spotted her on the Top Cat section of CatChat and just knew she was the cat for them even though we said she was at times very grumpy. They were confident she would be the perfect cat for them. Boy! Were they right and all made possible thanks to CatChat.
