Elvie
Meet Elvie, a young, beautiful and very black cat who had a bit of a tough start in life. Elvie was born in the back garden of a house, and along with her siblings and several other cats and kittens grew up not know the touch of human kindness. At around 4 months old she became pregnant and things got worse for Elvie who went on to have least 3 kittens under the garden shed, the safest place she could find.
Our Welfare team had become involved by now and had already rescued several of the feline residents, and they were determined to get Elvie and her kittens. Sadly when she next appeared she only had two of the kittens with her - making us all even more resolute! After a few days our Welfare team had caught the two 5 week old kittens and Elvie and brought them into foster care. Since then they have flourished, the two kittens were rehomed together and now it’s time for Elvie to find her forever home. Elvie is very shy, and will take some time to trust you.
She likes to be stroked and her favourite things are chicken and her feather fishing rod toy, it took her a while to learn to play but now she does, she throws herself into it with gay abandon! She will need an experienced cat owner with plenty of patience, time and love with no young children. Elvie would suit a quieter home that will allow her to be herself and take her own time without any pressure Oh and in case you haven’t worked it out Elvie has the loudest meow you’ve ever heard, a lot like LV in the film “Little Voice”.
