Rehoming Cats & Kittens: Dumfries & Galloway
CoCo Nut
Loving soul mate needed for this unhappy feline.
Coco is a gorgeous tortoiseshell cat, with stunning markings and intelligent green eyes. She was put up for rehoming as she is a highly sensitive cat, and was getting very stressed by the new baby in the home.
She will need a new home with no babies or children and no other pets.
She can be extremely anxious, and so would benefit from an understanding owner who is willing to be very patient and take things at Coco's pace.
She can be very vocal, and lets you know when she is getting stressed by hissing or growling. Equally, she will chirp and purr like a wee engine when she is happy and relaxed!
Coco is a very good hunter and will keep the local Mouse population under control!
Some of her favourite things are: interactive play with fishing rod style toys, cat milk, her radiator bed, catnip, sunbathing and watching the birds from the window. She enjoys going outside, but has no road sense, so a quiet rural garden to explore would be ideal for her.
Coco has the stereotypical "tortitude" and has been known to be grumpy when she feels particularly threatened or afraid. However most of the time she will tend to run away and hide when she feels overwhelmed. A quiet room that she can use a bolt hole in these situations would be really helpful.
With time, patience and understanding, Coco will make a great pet, as she was very affectionate (and fiercely loyal) towards her former owner, and enjoyed sitting on her lap, getting petted and brushed, etc. She is slowly warming to her foster carer and often rubs her head on her (a friendly gesture in cats), purrs when they spend time together (she loves company), and has even started to tolerate some petting (on her terms!). If you are willing to take on the challenge then you will be greatly rewarded by unlocking the lovely, sweet cat underneath that stressy exterior!!
Coco has come on really well whilst being cared for by her foster, we are sure there is someone out there who can make Coco a happy girl once more, all she needs is a bucket load of TLC and a bit of patience and understanding.
