Sammy
Sammy came into our care recently after his human friend died. Having been with that one person since kittenhood, Sammy was so upset and confused by his sudden disappearance and the changes this brought about in his own life. He was overwhelmed by sadness. I’m so glad to say, though, that Sammy is coming through that sadness now and is so much more at ease. He loves to be fussed and is now headbutting my hand instead of shying away from it as he did when he first came to us.

Despite his initial confusion and shyness Sammy has never once shown one bit of aggression. As Sammy lived in a quiet situation with one elderly man his whole life it’s probably best that he goes on to another home that isn’t radically different from what he’s used to, so probably best to avoid a home with very young children simply because he wouldn’t be used to the kind of noises little children make. Access to the outdoors when he’s well settled is a must as that, too, is what he’s been used to.

Sammy was already neutered and chipped when he came into our care but his vaccinations had lapsed. We’re taking care of that now and Sammy will be available for adoption from the end of May when the course of vaccinations is complete. We have access to all his medical records and can say that he’s a healthy boy who was well looked after by his human pal.
