Note from the rescue: Unfortunately, poor Freddie has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. It’s a common form of heart disease that a high % of cats have but most of the time it doesn’t progress especially in cats as young as Freddie. He will now stay on his meds for the rest of his life & the vets will monitor his dosage if he has any further problems. There isn't a cure so it is just managing it. Luckily, he takes his tablets well in chicken! Now here's where you come in, we really need to find this boy a special home, he deserves to live out his remaining time in the comfort of a home environment ideally with a nice safe garden he can play out in. He does need an experienced cat person & would be better as an only cat or with a female friend. The rescue will cover his condition at our local vets so long as you can provide the love & care he needs.
