Willow
HOME PENDING!

Willow was first reported to us as a pregnant cat but when we picked her up it was clear that it was just as likely that she just needed to go on a diet. Without a doubt, Willow has been someone's cat until very recently but despite all our efforts to find her owner both in the area where she was found and well beyond no-one has come forward to claim her. Given how overweight she was, there's always the possibility that Willow was a much-loved (and over-indulged!) companion to an older person who has since died or been taken into care and Willow found herself put out onto the streets. It does happen, all too often, unfortunately.

Now that she's been with us for six weeks and no-one has claimed her, it's time for Willow to find a new home. She's a lovely girl and is really enjoying the attention being lavished on her by her foster mum, but let's you know with a paw-bop when she's had enough. She seems a bit unsure of men, or did at first, but her foster mum's teenage son seems to have won her over as she likes to have a wee snooze lying on his chest! What is quite clear is that Willow enjoys her grub, and soon let's her foster mum know if she thinks she's being short-rationed. Although I've indicated on Willow's profile that she would like access to outdoors, she makes no effort to try and go outside in her foster home so it could be she would be happy to settle in an indoor-only home. Having said that, maybe a wee bit of exercise would help trim down that waistline!

Willow has now been chipped and started her vaccinations, so will be ready for rehoming by the end of the first week in August. We suspected she had already been spayed and this was confirmed by the vet when he shaved her side and found the op scars. An adult only home would probably best suit Willow because, although she does like those on-chest snoozes and a bit of fussing, young children would probably be too much for her as the general feeling is she came from a quiet household.
