Freya
HOME NOW PENDING

Freya is one of the four tortie girls born around four months ago to a wee mum living a rough life on and close to an industrial site surrounded by woods. Lucy was the first of the girls to trust me as I handled her but the others soon followed her good example. The four of them, and their friends Edwin and Gabriel, born to a different mother around the same time and place, have wonderful time together and especially enjoy their regular party nights if the chaos that greets me most mornings when I enter their shelters is anything to judge by. I named Freya after the Cat Goddess Freya and think it may have gone to her head a bit, but maybe that's not fair because really that superior expression is just to be expected from a tortie - born beautiful, and doesn't half know it, goes with the tortie territory. Freya and her sisters will be having their second set of vaccinations this week (15th Oct) at which point they will also be microchipped. The girls aren't heavy enough to be spayed yet (min weight is 2kg for safety reasons) so anyone offering a home would have to guarantee that the spaying operation would be done when the time is right. This is so important as there are already so many cats and kittens in need of rescue with not nearly enough good homes to go round. It would be lovely if Freya could be homed with one of her sisters, or with either Gabriel or Edwin, but she would also settle well with another, accepting, cat if her new family already included one.
N.B. At the moment the U.K. is still in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it is still possible to carry on the work of the charity without contravening safety guidelines. Potential new homes can still be visited, meeting either in the garden or street. Although some restrictions have now been lifted in England they don't yet apply in the rest of the UK and so people still can't visit any of the cats in their foster homes. All we can do for now is provide photographs and absolutely all information about each individual cat or kitten and then deliver the cat to his or her new family.
