Alice
HOME NOW PENDING

Alice is from the same litter as Lucy, Marigold  and Freya. They were born in June on or near an industrial estate which is surrounded by woods. Sounds reasonably idyllic/? It wasn't, as there are many dangers nearby, including a busy road. I've described Alice's coat as being tortoiseshell and white but there's actually only a little white on her chest. Alice is very proud of that wee bit white as it clearly reflects her natural facial beauty and contrasts so well with her gorgeous tortie coat. Her hobbies include playfights with her sisters and their friends Edwin and Gabriel, helping me keep fit by ensuring all bedding lands on the floor, preferably into water dishes as that's apparently really funny, and catapulting dishes of dried food into the air to create abstract art work. To be fair, they're all at it. Alice just has the grace to look guilty, while her sisters look accusingly at the boys. Although Alice has now grown used to having human company (even strange human company from someone who insists on singing to them), initial shyness in a new environment should be expected. They don't know they're in foster care, after all, so there's much to miss and much to get used to when they go on to their new families. The kittens will get their second set of vaccinations and be microchipped on Oct 15th but aren't yet heavy enough to undergo a spaying operation (min weight 2kg) so anyone wishing to adopt one of them now would have to guarantee the op would be done when the time was right and not allow the kitten to breed. I think Alice would be just fine with older children (5+) and other accepting cats and a garden to play in once she's fully settled would be just wonderful.
N.B. At the moment the U.K. is still in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it is still possible to carry on the work of the charity without contravening safety guidelines. Potential new homes can still be visited, meeting either in the garden or street. Although some restrictions have now been lifted in England they don't yet apply in the rest of the UK and so people still can't visit any of the cats in their foster homes. All we can do for now is provide photographs and absolutely all information about each individual cat or kitten and then deliver the cat to his or her new family.
