Oliver - RESERVED
8 year old Oliver is looking for his forever home. A much loved cat, Oliver did not settle into indoor life in his previous home and grew frustrated with his change of circumstances.

Oliver initially kept to himself; taking his time to adjust to his new surroundings. As he has settled with us we have found this initially growling, upset boy to be very friendly and curious.

Oliver needs an experienced, patient and understanding adopter who is willing to help him settle in at his own pace. He is in need of a calm, home without any major changes planned where he can get used to things in his own time. It may well take him time to adjust to his home and his human(s) but once he does, he will need his own quiet garden to explore that he accessed via a cat flap, in a safe location away from busy roads.

A dedicated, clutter free ‘bonding room’ is especially important for hi, to settle into initially, as is an experienced adopter who will give him the time and space he needs to adjust to his new home. Oliver is likely to become more confident if you have no expectations of him, and can just sit with him quietly and let him get used to you.Oliver would best suit an adult home or possibly a home with teenagers used to living with cats. Oliver needs a home with a quiet garden in a safe location away from busy roads with no easy access to the road. If not already in place, Oliver will need to have a microchip catflap fitted at the back of the property within a month of adoption.

Even if it becomes Oliver’s preference to toilet outside, like any cat who will have access to the outside he must always have access to a litter tray inside for his urinary health. Outside access is of course only after a minimum of 6 weeks, once he is fully comfortable with his new environment and his new family.

Oliver is being fostered at our South London hub in Abbey Wood, SE2.

Our priority is to match felines with homes that suit their needs, character and long term requirements. Please be aware that when a particular cat receives an unusually high volume of enquiries, our dedicated adoptions volunteers may only be able to pursue the most promising. We appreciate your understanding.
