Rehoming Cats & Kittens: East Riding of Yorkshire
Poppy
Poppy is spayed & ID chipped. She is looking for her FURever home. She is sweet, affectionate and very fussy. Poppy prefers to be stroked on her head and back but not on her sides. Sometimes she gets over excited when being stroked and nips as if to say don't stop. For this reason she is looking for a home with no small children.

Poppie Was Found In A Garden with Her Very Hungry Kittens Who Were Around 4 Weeks Old. Poppie Had Mastitis And Was In Too Much Pain To Suckle Her Babies. The Babies Were Bottle Fed By Jane One Of Our Foster Mums While Poppie Had A Course Of Antibiotics. Sadly Poppie Wanted Nothing To Do With Her Kittens At All And Was Getting Quite Nasty With Them. Poppie Was Moved To Another Foster Home For Some One to One Rehabilitation With Kelly Because She Is Very Friendly And Loves To Be Stroked So Much That She Bites When The Petting Stops.

( cats often have a low tolerance for being petted and can become overstimulated quickly. The length of time it takes for petting to go from enjoyable to uncomfortable varies by cat. But when it reaches that point, the cat reacts almost as if it's being hurt or is in pain. Animal behaviorists refer to this as petting-induced aggression.)
