Blossom
Blossom has come to Catcuddles after the death of her owner. After this sad loss, she would really love a quiet, settled, forever home to grow old in, with people who will love and cherish her as much as her previous owner did.

15 year old Blossom is a gentle, friendly girl who loves fuss and food in equal measure. Blossom has a habit of raising one paw when she is curious about something. She also loves head scratches from her foster carers and purrs to show her enjoyment and is fast becoming a lap cat. Blossom prefers not to share her human(s) so will need to be the only pet in her adult-only retirement home.

In the past month Blossom found herself in a new home with a relative of her owner, fed a new diet that did not agree with her, and once again in a new environment, but has retained her sweet temperament throughout . When Blossom recently arrived in our care via The Catcuddles Cat Clinic, she was dehydrated, lethargic and had severe diarrhoea so she was immediately put on a drip for the day to rehydrate. Blossom was diagnosed with cystitis and given pain relief. She is currently on a diet of urinary wet food, taking a course of antibiotics and cystease happily in her food, and in mid March needs to have a repeat urine test to assess how she is doing and continue with her rehoming health checks which will include starting her vaccination course.

It is clear to see that in a matter of days Blossom is already feeling much better and her stools have returned to normal. Blossom is ready to move to her hopeful forever home if her home is close enough for Blossom to be easily brought to our Clinic in Palmers Green (N13 4UY) to continue her existing treatment for cystitis. Blossom’s food can easily be purchased from online retailers such as Zooplus or Fetch. Blossom’s current needs can be discussed further with our adoptions team.

Anyone adopting an indoor cat from us needs to be committed to creating a stimulating and enriching indoor environment and ensuring it is safe, i.e. cat proofing any windows that will be opened, and fully cat proofing a balcony if there is one. The adoptions team can offer advice on this.

Before submitting an adoption enquiry it is important to ensure that you have read our adoption info page: Adopting a cat from Catcuddles.

No matter what their age, all adopted cats leave Catcuddles with trial insurance and this is important to take out. For our senior cats the trial insurance is with Agria and if a policy is purchased within the trial period then you’ll be able to take out a policy for lifetime cover to cover any new conditions that may occur in the future.

Our priority is to match felines with homes that suit their needs, character and long term requirements. Please be aware that when a particular cat receives an unusually high volume of enquiries, our dedicated adoptions volunteers may only be able to pursue the most promising. We appreciate your understanding.
