Mitten - RESERVED
Mitten is a sweet, six year old, long haired beauty. She has come to Catcuddles after the death of her owner. After this sad loss, she would really love a new forever home, with people who will love and cherish her as much as her previous owner did.

Mitten is a friendly loveable girl who will tap her paw at you for attention. She would certainly make a great addition to any family. She is not used to living with children but could potentially live in a home with teenagers as long as they are used to living with cats and are kind, gentle and respectful towards them.

Mitten is not very happy with being groomed and sadly due to her fur being very matted we had no choice but to give her a lion cut. Her soft fur will grow back before too long. She will need a home where time is spent showing her that being groomed is not awful.

Chatty girl Mitten prefers humans to other cats so it is important that she can always be the only pet in her new home. Until recently she was living with another cat but in recent months this became a stressful situation for her and she is far happier being a solo cat.

Mitten will need to have outdoor access in a safe location, ideally a network of back gardens to explore away from busy roads. All our outdoor cats will need to have a catflap fitted at the back of the property within a month of adoption, as any cat going out will need a way to have easy access back into the home. We recommend a microchip catflap to avoid any unexpected visitors!

Even if it becomes Mitten’s preference to toilet outside, like any cat who will have access to the outside she must always have access to a litter tray inside for her urinary health. Outside access is of course only after a minimum of six weeks in her new home.

Mitten is being fostered at our rehoming hub in Abbey Wood, SE2.

Before submitting an adoption enquiry it is important to ensure that you have read our adoption info page: Adopting a cat from Catcuddles.

Our priority is to match felines with homes that suit their needs, character and long term requirements. Please be aware that when particular cats receive an unusually high volume of enquiries, our dedicated adoptions volunteers may only be able to pursue the most promising. We appreciate your understanding.
