Bushy Tail Cat Aid
Rehoming Cats & Kittens: London (West) & Hertfordshire
Max
Max (6) is a very sweet and gentle kitty. He's friendly, cuddly, chatty and non demanding. He loves the company of other cats and humans. Max came into our care after his owner was taken to the hospital. He was locked in the conservatory during the heatwave, and when we arrived, the temperature inside was 38 degrees. The poor cat spent 2 weeks living like this, while the next of kin was trying to secure rescue space for him. We had to use a trap to catch Max as he was very scared. We were told that he is FIV positive and that he is an indoor cat. Max wasn't really eating while in our care and he was clearly unhappy and missing his home. We were told by NHS that Max's owner will not be able to care for him anymore and that unfortunately Max will need to be rehomed. We took Max to our veterinary practice where the blood test has confirmed that Max is FIV positive, therefore we can't vaccinate him. He is neutered, microchipped, flea and worm treated with veterinary grade products. We are looking for an indoor home for Max and an adopter who is knowledgeable in FIV+ cats. Max is perfectly healthy and he can absolutely live with other friendly cats or solo. He spent last 3 years as a single indoor cat. His owner has built a catio for him and Max was clearly much loved. If you are interested in adopting Max, please contact us on [email protected] or [email protected] writing a few words about your previous experience with cats and providing us with your full address for Google maps search. Please note that when adopting indoor cats, the windows and balcony must be secured. Pre-adoption house check and adoption fee of £120 applies. Max is being fostered in Bushey, Herts.
