Izmir (6 months old kitten) is looking for an indoor home. He was bought as Turkish Angora from an illegal breeder, and he's already on his third family. He was born on 15th March. The buyer had the best intentions but probably not much knowledge on cats. This DLH kitten has been given baths,he was vaccinated but not microchipped. Circumstances somehow changed and the kitten got advertised on social media for rehoming. Spotted by a rescuer, he almost got into safety and he already had his veterinary health check and neutering booked, but sadly the owner changed her mind and decided for him to go elsewhere. And so he did. The lady who got him has three small children and one of them turned out to be allergic. She sensibly went on Catchat charities directory and contacted a rescue instead of passing him on to random strangers. We immediately picked up the boy and we contacted our vet to book him in for castration and health check. We called the kitten Izmir as it seemed fitting. He's a lovely and gentle boy and he loves humans. Too many changes in his short life, lack of stability and a perpetuated breaking of the attachment to humans has taken its toll and he is a little nervous, but as long as there's a human next to him, he's feeling safe. Izmir is neutered, microchipped, FIV/FeLV blood tested and negative on both. He is vaccinated, flea and worm treated with veterinary grade products and he comes with 5 weeks insurance cover.
