Bonnie is an incredibly affectionate and loving cat. She is 5 years old and we adopted her almost 4 years ago. She loves company, attention, food and will show her affection for you through head bumps and licks. She is an indoor only cat as her back legs are splayed (we were told due to a head injury as a kitten causing hind limb ataxia). This doesn't affect her much other than that she is not as mobile as other cats; she can't jump as high or run as fast. 

Unfortunately this also make her very defensive when she’s scared or stressed - she has only been aggressive a couple of times since we’ve had her but it has resulted in my partner being scared of her and their bond of trust has completely broken down. We have thought long and hard about the situation and have tried to persevere but the mental anguish it is causing within the house is taking it’s toll and we have decided, very sadly, to put her up for adoption.

We think it would be better for her to be with people who feel more capable of dealing with her situation and have the room and patience for her if she gets stressed or frightened. She will need lots of space, time and patience settling in to a new home, preferably somewhere with a sunny spot she can enjoy.
