Shelley
Shelley came to us after her owners' baby became allergic. We found her a new home, but it became apparent that the behaviour she showed in the cattery was very different to a home environment, so she went to foster with one of our lovely volunteers, so we could assess her properly in a home. After a period of assessment, Shelley is now ready to find her new home.
Her foster mum says: Shelley looks for attention, but only enjoys a fuss for a short time. She will let you know when she's had enough of being stroked - not aggressively though, just a swishing tail is a good indication that she's done with being fussed. She's not a cat that enjoys being picked up and cuddled. She is not a lap cat, but will happily sit beside you.
She likes to sleep on a sunny window sill and watch the world go by or on the back of armchairs beside her humans. Occasionally she will hide up somewhere quiet for a quick nap.
Shelley loves playing with a wand toy and enjoys chasing her tail! She finds animals on TV very entertaining. She does tend to play very enthusiastically, so would be best in a home without young children.
She would suit a quiet home with a garden, as she's been keen to have a nose at the comes and goings of the great outdoors! She likes to have attention when she chooses but would be fine if you were out at work during the day, providing she had a fuss and playtime when you got home.
Shelley will need a sensitive diet. She can live with children, aged 16 or older.
