Pedigree Cats Ripley& B’elanna
On occasion we at Catcuddles are asked to rehome pedigree cats. As with any cat it is important to match them to a suitable forever home. We have chosen not to include photos or videos as we want initial interest to be from those able to offer a home that meets the needs of the cat.

One such pair are sisters Ripley and B’elanna who are looking for a forever home together with an adopter who has previous experience of caring for cats of their own. Eight year old Ripley and B’elanna are shy to begin with but as they get to know you they are sweet, purring cats. Ripley is a petite, friendly cat who enjoys your company but is fairly independent; a pair of cats is ideally if you are out at work all day. B’elanna is more anxious and reserved; very aware of every movement and sound but when you gain her trust the fuss is welcomed and she will purr away.

Ripley and B’elanna are looking to join a pet-free home as a pair in a quiet, settled home with adopters who are unlikely to have any significant changes on the horizon such as building works or a house move planned and they are not suitable for a home with young children and must remain the only pets in the home. When their family are away, as many cats do, Ripley and B’elanna will benefit from a catsitter or housesitter rather than being taken elsewhere to stay.

Ripley and B’elanna have always been indoor cats and will need spacious indoor home to share with their adopter(s). If their new home has a balcony or terrace it will need to be fully catproofed (enclosed). A wholly indoor home is absolutely fine provided the windows and any exits are fully secured.

Anyone adopting an indoor cat from us needs to be committed to creating a stimulating and enriching indoor environment and ensuring it is safe, i.e. cat proofing any windows that will be opened, and fully cat proofing a balcony, terrace or garden if there is one. When catproofing this means ensuring it is fully enclosed, not permitting access is not usually sufficient. If their family are using the balcony, the cat should also be able to and whilst a cat will not jump if there is nowhere to go, accidents can and do happen so this is essential to do to ensure the safety of your adopted cat. The adoptions team can offer further advice on this.

Before submitting an adoption enquiry it is important to ensure that you have read our adoption info page: Adopting a cat from Catcuddles. Please carefully consider if you are able to offer what Ripley and B’elanna need before getting in touch and if you are not in a position to adopt for some weeks or months we request you wait until you are ready to register your interest to adopt.

Our priority is to match felines with homes that suit their needs, character and long term requirements. Please be aware that when particular cats receive an unusually high volume of enquiries, our dedicated adoptions volunteers may only be able to pursue the most promising. We appreciate your understanding.
