Lala - RESERVED
It is not every day that a much loved senior cat of 19 years comes to Catcuddles to be rehomed. When this does happen it is a wrench to the family who have no choice but to surrender their beloved cat, Lala, for adoption and a call to immediate action to our adoption team.

This sweet, purring lapcat has only been with us for just a fortnight and has won everyone over with her demeanour and personality. Surprisingly, she is also very healthy for her age (and we have checked!) and even has her teeth intact as her previous home were brushing them daily with her consent .

Lala does not deserve to be in limbo, she doesn’t perhaps have the life expectancy of an adult cat, or even a younger senior, but that will not faze the right adoptive forever home for her. We only have the present moment after all.

We would like her to be a solo cat where she goes, only because at this point in life, change isn’t really necessary or even desired. She is an absolute gem and an excellent companion to anyone with an open heart big enough to accept her in her twilight time.

If you feel you are the one for Lala, if her eyes talk to you and the prospect of welcoming this purring machine to your home fills you with warmth and excitement, we would love to hear from you.

Lala’s ideal forever home would be with quiet and settled, with no moves or significant changes on the horizon. We are looking for a home where she can be the only pet and where there is no possibility of her ever living with children.

If Lala’s new home has a quiet back garden she will need access through a microchip catflap in a safe location away from busy roads. A garden located in a terraced network of gardens with no easy access to the road would be ideal. We are also happy to consider indoor homes for Lala. Her adopter(s) being more important than the home itself

Anyone adopting an indoor cat from us needs to be committed to creating a stimulating and enriching indoor environment and ensuring it is safe, i.e. cat proofing any windows that will be opened, and fully cat proofing a balcony or terrace if there is one. When catproofing a balcony this means ensuring it is fully enclosed, not permitting access is not usually sufficient. If their family are using the balcony, the cat should also be able to and whilst a cat will not jump if there is nowhere to go, accidents can and do happen so this is essential to do to ensure the safety of your adopted cat. The adoptions team can offer further advice on this.

Lala is being fostered in Belvedere, DA17.

Before submitting an adoption enquiry it is important to ensure that you have read our adoption info page: Adopting a cat from Catcuddles.

Our priority is to match felines with homes that suit their needs, character and long term requirements. Please be aware that when particular cats receive an unusually high volume of enquiries, our dedicated adoptions volunteers may only be able to pursue the most promising. We appreciate your understanding.
