Smokey & Bandit are both around 6 years old. Both are ex-street cats, both had never known love before coming into care. Smokey (tabby) became quite confident quite quickly. He loves a head rub, LOVES treats and will often approach you for love and affection. Bandit is a lot more timid, but in recent weeks has started accepting a fuss, enjoying treats off volunteers and is finally showing some trust in the human race. We know Bandit might be work for someone, but these guys come as a pair.

They are solid favourites at the Meadows and Bandit really is progressing nicely now. With Smokey as his confident friend, we really don’t think it will take long for their new owner to win Bandit round. It will be MUCH easier for Bandit when he is with the same people consistently, and he will build a relationship far faster than he has in care (due to seeing various faces various days of the week).

The boys LOVE lounging in the sun, they love treats, they can be seen playing with their ball track & once all that is done, they cuddle up and have a nap. Health wise, both boys are in full health. Bandit has a squint from a previous bad infection in his eye which is now fully clear and healed fast.

The type of home this amazing pair needs is- a quiet, PATIENT home, one in which their new owners are going to sit with them lots, reassure them, spoil and bribe them with treats, work with them daily and not give up, someone who can accept that they have had a rough life prior to now, someone who wants to change their life and show them what a loving forever home really feels like.

We know both of them will be nervous at first, but Smokey promises to be won around fast with treats and he will help you bring his nervous brother out of his shell. They will need their own room where they can be kept for the first month or two whilst they are settling in. They need to be kept indoors for a minimum of 6 months OR until they fully trust you. Homes away from busy roads only, or cat proofed garden or catio even better!
No children under 12 years old please, no dogs, but other cats is fine!
