Petal was originally caught as part of a feral neutering program, but it soon became apparent she wasn't feral at all, just a quiet and timid girl who'd been scavenging for food. She would rather not be handled too much, but is very gentle, and happy to be stroked by trusted people. When she arrived, the tips of her ears were scabbed and sore from sunburn - as a mostly white cat, she is vulnerable to this, and in future she will need to either be kept in on sunny days, or have sun cream applied to protect her ears. The vet has confirmed that for now they fortunately don't look cancerous, and they are slowly healing up. Petal will need a peaceful home with just one or two people, where she isn't overwhelmed by too much noise or activity.
