Mylo arrived from the south of England along with his brother Loki, sister Amber and their heavily pregnant young mum just three weeks ago. All three babies (and their mum, of course) had had such a long journey before being handed into our care so were confused by suddenly finding themselves in a strange place with people they didn't know. Of the three kittens, Loki was the most confident to start with, followed by Mylo , with Amber being the shyest. But that was all before their foster mum Liz and her brother Alistair set about helping them settle with the help of what is apparently The Best Cat Toy Ever Invented - a fishing rod - closely followed by a laser beam. The three of them have a great time playing zoomies, hide and seek (those poor curtains....), wacky races and wresting matches. Ever looked after three human toddlers? Well, it's that with some extra legs thrown in. So, Mylo. He was with Liz and Alistair for a couple of days before asking to be petted (he was probably jealous of soppy Loki grabbing all the attention) but grows more confident every day. He's still not too keen on being picked up but that's changing too now that he feels settled and safe. Like all of our rescue cats and kittens, Mylo has been fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped so is ready to pack his bag and head off to a Forever home, no doubt with theat fishing rod trailing in his wake. A home with school age children would be just fine but the kittens reacted with fear when they heard a neighbour's dogs bark so there may be a memory there that would make settling with a dog difficult for them. Mylo asked that we find him a home away from busy roads so he can get out to play and climb trees and have other great adventures once he's well settled, and it's only right he has his say.
