Petra
Young Petra is a stunning 3-year-old, short haired tortie & white female. She came into our care from a multi-cat household where all the cats were unneutered, and the owner could no longer cope. Not surprisingly Petra was pregnant, but sadly all her kittens died straight after birth.
Petra has coped with the loss of her litter and is now learning how to have fun. She loves to play with her toys, and when her fosterers walk into her room she wants to sit on a lap and have a cuddle and a fuss. You know with Petra when she's really happy as she gets a lovely bristly tail and back.
Despite coming from a multi -cat household, Petra isn’t keen on having other cats around, so she is looking for a home with no cats and no dogs. She can also be a bit jumpy if she hears a sudden, loud noise, so we feel she would be better in a home with children 10 years or older.
Petra is neutered and microchipped. She has had her first vaccination. Should she be adopted before her 2nd vaccination she will need to return to Elizabeth Smith vets in Upper Caldecote, but Cats Protection will pay the cost of this.
Petra will need to have a safe, secure, quiet room to start off in. A room where she can have a separate area for food and water. For a litter tray placed as far away as possible from her food and water. For somewhere to hide, access to a high spot where she can view her surroundings, a suitable place to sleep or, ideally, a choice of them, a scratching post and a few cat toys and space for her to play. She will also need a Feliway diffuser in her room, as she may hide away for a few days when she goes to her new home.
