Theo
Meet Theo a 3-year-old, short-haired, tabby & white handsome boy. He is looking for a very special home with a patient, understanding experienced owner.
 
When Theo came into care, he was very frightened and was showing he was unhappy by hissing, growling and lashing out. He came round after about a month of being patient with him by just sitting with him and letting him get to know us. He eventually started to sit on our laps and enjoying being stroked. 
 
However, when he goes to his new home it is likely that he will repeat this behaviour and the process will have to start again. It is well worth the patience as he is a loving cat that likes to be with company. He still occasionally nips our hand but in a more affectionate way than aggressive and we are trying to discourage this.
 
Theo will need to go to a home with no other pets, and no children, although understanding teenage children may be ok. His home will need to be away from busy roads and railways.
 
Theo will be fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.
 
Theo will need to have a safe, secure, quiet room to start off in. A room where he can have a separate area for food and water. For a litter tray placed as far away as possible from his food and water. For somewhere to hide, access to a high spot where he can view his surroundings, a suitable place to sleep or, ideally, a choice of them, a scratching post and a few cat toys and space for him to play. He will also need a Feliway diffuser in his room, as he will likely hide away for a few days when he goes to his new home.
 
Theo will be available for adoption from 13th May but can be viewed and reserved now.
