Archie
Following a change in circumstances in his previous home, four year old Archie is now at Catcuddles.

Archie is a lovely boy, gentle but clear on his likes and dislikes, and quite inquisitive on what is happening in his surroundings! He is a friendly boy who will accept strokes and purr away at you.

Archie has had a full health check whilst in our care, which has shown that he has Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). This is being managed with daily medication. Archie’s ongoing heart condition will need annual monitoring at the vets for life and his adopter should be financially comfortable to cover the costs of having a cat with a health condition as well as taking out suitable insurance as a precaution for any other unrelated treatment that may be required in the future.  Archie’s health needs can be discussed further with the adoptions team.

We have also given Archie a full groom as was not enjoying the mats in his fur being groomed, so it is important to be confident in brushing him daily, as our volunteers are currently doing, to minimise a reoccurrence of these.

We looking for a home with very safe outdoor access for Archie. Archie’s forever home needs to have access through a catflap leading to a back garden in a safe location, away from busy roads. A terraced home with a network of gardens and no possibility to reach the street would be ideal. We require all cats who go out to have a caflap at the back of the property so that they have easy access back into the home. If not already in place, this can be fitted within a month of adoption and we would recommend a microchip cat flap.

Archie is being fostered in our South London Hub in SE2.

Our priority is to match felines with homes that suit their needs, character and long term requirements. Please be aware that when a particular cat receives an unusually high volume of enquiries, our dedicated adoptions volunteers may only be able to pursue the most promising. We appreciate your understanding.
