For such a young cat, Flouffer, also known as Flouff, has been through so much.

Flouffer was rescued by a lovely Samaritan, cat lover who sponsored and brought this boy to us when he was gravely ill. Flouff was so thin and tired looking it was assumed he was a senior kitty but was actually found to be around 1, and suffering from pneumonia. 

Flouff continues to be on antibiotics to clear out anything temporary in those little lungs of his. He had a repeat x-ray a few days ago and whilst this shows a great improvement but he is not quite out of the woods yet. 

It has been a great adjustment for Flouff to suddenly find himself away from the harsh realities of living on the street, wondering where his next meal will be coming from, having to master a litter tray again. Whilst he is still shy and wary he is getting used to his new environment and slowly realising that his foster carers are here to take care of him.

Flouffer is looking for a quiet, indoor home where there are no major changes on the horizon as the only pet. A dedicated, clutter free ‘bonding room’ with two litter trays is crucial for him; it is likely he will need to spend weeks rather than days getting used to his new surroundings and losing the wariness he has; after all once he likely had a home and for some reason found himself homeless so it is not wonder he does not trust humans yet. Flouff will need a calm, patient adopter who will give him the space and encouragement he needs to adjust to his forever home and earn their trust.
