Kenzie
12 year old Kenzie is a gentle, affectionate boy. A much loved cat, he is looking for a new home due to a change in circumstances.

Kenzie is a wonderful, cuddly companion who loves being around his human(s). It is therefore important that in Kenzie’s new home he ordinarily has human company most of the time not just for the remainder of lockdown. Sweet Kenzie will happily sit by you whilst you work and follow you around and watch what you are doing. In the evening he’ll climb into your lap and fall asleep. He really is a delightful boy.

Kenzie would like a calm home where he can be the only pet.  In the right home he could become part of a family with older children with previous experience of living with cats as long as they are gentle and respect his boundaries but there must be no other animals in the home.

Kenzie has a history of urinary issues, which is now being managed through a diet of urinary wet food . The food Kenzie eats can easily be bought online. It is not at all tricky as his food can easily be purchased from online retailers such as Zooplus or Fetch. We encourage Kenzie’s prospective adopters to do their own research into the costs of managing a cat with a health condition. Kenzie’s needs can be discussed further with the adoptions team.

Kenzie is looking for a forever home either with a catproofed balcony or with a quiet garden to explore. If Kenzie’s new home has a garden it should be in a safe location away from busy roads and too many other neighbourhood kitties. A network of back gardens to explore away from busy roads would be ideal. He will need to have a microchip catflap fitted at the back of the property within a month of adoption as any cat going out will need a way to have easy access back into the home. If not already in place, this can be fitted within a month of adoption. Even if it becomes Kenzie’s preference to toilet outside, like any cat who will have access to the outside he must always have access to a litter tray inside for his urinary health. Outside access is of course only after a minimum of six weeks in his new home.

No matter what their age, all adopted cats leave Catcuddles with trial insurance, for Kenzie this would be with Agria and if a policy is purchased within the trial period then you’ll be able to take out a policy for lifetime cover. This policy would not cover any future urinary issues should they arise as this would be classed as pre-existing.

Kenzie is being fostered in Plumstead, SE18.

Our priority is to match felines with homes that suit their needs, character and long term requirements. Please be aware that when a particular cat receives an unusually high volume of enquiries, our dedicated adoptions volunteers may only be able to pursue the most promising. We appreciate your understanding.
