Much loved 11 year old boy, Missy has come to Catcuddles after struggling to adjust following the arrival of a baby.

Missy is partially sighted; having an eye enucleation several years ago, and is partially sighted in the remaining eye. He is a complex character and we are still getting to know him so are not taking enquiries specifically for him just yet.

Missy will need a calm settled adult-only home where there will be very little change on the horizon and no children in the home now or in the future. He is a cat who has adapted to much change in his life, having moved to the UK from Dubai with his family and having the aforementioned eye surgery so the least we can do is find him a forever home where he can live a peaceful life and be given the time and space to settle. Missy’s adopter(s) will need to have previous experience of caring for a cat who has needed support with being overstimulated, and be a calm but confident presence, allowing him to adjust to his environment and accept that he may prefer to keep to a distance.

Anyone adopting an indoor cat from us needs to be committed to creating a stimulating and enriching indoor environment and ensuring it is safe, i.e. cat proofing any windows that will be opened, and fully cat proofing a balcony if there is one. The adoptions team can offer advice on this.

No matter what their age, all adopted cats leave Catcuddles with trial insurance and this is important to take out. For our senior cats the trial insurance is with Agria and if a policy is purchased within the trial period then you’ll be able to take out a policy for lifetime cover to cover any new conditions that may occur in the future.

Our priority is to match felines with homes that suit their needs, character and long term requirements. Please be aware that when a particular cat receives an unusually high volume of enquiries, our dedicated adoptions volunteers may only be able to pursue the most promising.
