Dahlia & Snowdrop
Dahlia and Snowdrop are looking for a patient home where they can become part of the family at their own pace.

Little is known of their background; they came to us as strays. They are still very shy but Snowdrop is becoming more comfortable with our volunteers, and Dahlia, whilst still scared at times will accept strokes. These 8 month old sisters need a calm, settled and experienced adult-only home, with adopters willing to do what it takes to help them settle in.

It will take time and hands-on contact to build a relationship with Dahlia and Snowdrop and help them grow in confidence around people. To begin with they will need dedicated, clutter free ‘bonding room’ without spaces that they can hide that are completely out of reach. It is reasonable to expect they will need at least a few weeks in there initially to gain confidence in their new environment.

Dahlia and Snowdrop are looking for a home together where they will be protected from the heat of the sun. It is fine for them to have a quiet garden to explore, through a catflap into the back garden away from busy roads but during the summer or any heat wave at others times of the year, their access should be limited. Therefore a home with a catio or a fully catproofed balcony may be a good option for them. A spacious indoor home may also be suitable if the home otherwise suits their needs.

Whilst in our care they have both been neutered, completed their vaccination course, had veterinary prescribed flea and worming treatment and are of course microchipped. Both have recovered well from mild cat flu and Dahlia does have some gingivitis so this should be monitored in case a dental is needed in the future.
