Jerry & Frittata - RESERVED
A bromance for the ages. or so we hope, Jerry and Frittata are fast becoming good friends so we would like to find them a forever home together.

You may already be familiar with Jerry’s story. 3 year old Jerry has been patiently waiting for the end of his six weeks of cage rest and a month on, after another set of x-rays there are no fractures or concerns and Jerry just needs to continue movement to increase his muscle mass in the leg that was injured. We are very pleased for this lovely boy who has been a trouper throughout.

Jerry’s neighbour at Catcuddles, Frittata, is approximately 4 months old. Frittata started life outside. His brothers were brought to safety around two months ago, With very limited contact with humans before he came to Catcuddles, interacting with people is still quite new to him and not always welcomed! Like his brothers, (who were all adopted before his arrival; follow their stories here) Frittata is making great progress but will need to join an understanding, experienced home, with older children used to living with cats or an adult only home.

Frittata is still a little wary of new people, or those he has not had as much contact with. He is still learning that humans in general can be trusted. As a result, patient adopters are needed. He is definitely more at ease these days and is doing well with watching Jerry as well. Lots of playtime for this energetic boy will help him to become more at ease with you at his own pace.

Jerry is a cuddle monster and whilst seemingly homeless when found he is a friendly, sociable boy and a great match for Frittata, who he has taken under his wing.

It will take time and hands-on contact to build a relationship with Frittata and help grow his confidence and comfort around people - simply leaving him to his own devices and hoping that he comes around will not be enough, so her adopters need to be fully aware of this. and committed to helping her to trust humans. Persistence is key!

If not already in place, Jerry and Frittata will need to have a catflap fitted at the back of the property within a month of adoption. We recommend a microchip catflap to avoid any uninvited guests! A terraced home surrounded by a network of gardens would be ideal for this lovely pair.

Even if it becomes their preference to toilet outside, like any cat who will have access to the outside they must always have access to a litter tray inside for his urinary health. Outside access is of course only after a minimum of 6-8 weeks in their new home.

Jerry and Frittata are being fostered at our South London hub in Abbey Wood, SE2.

Our priority is to match felines with homes that suit their needs, character and long term requirements. Please be aware that when a particular cat receives an unusually high volume of enquiries, our dedicated adoptions volunteers may only be able to pursue the most promising. We appreciate your understanding.

Jerry and Frittata could happily share space with an existing cat in the home who is happy and used to living with other cats and will perhaps join Frittata in particular in playtime but the priority is for a home who can help them both settle in and nurture Frittata to build his confidence. Introductions to resident cats should always be done slowly and regardless of whether their new home has another cat they must initially remain in a dedicated, clutter free ‘bonding room’ without spaces that Frittata can hide that are completely out of reach.

Frittata has the potential to become a happy, friendly and outgoing cat with a time, patience and love and it would be wonderful to see him do this with his pal Jerry. They are looking for a home with a quiet garden to explore, in a safe location away from busy roads. A network of back gardens to explore away from busy roads would be ideal. There will need to have a catflap fitted at the back of the property within a month of adoption as any cat going out will need a way to have easy access back into the home. We would recommend a suitable microchip catflap to avoid any unwanted guests. The adoptions team can advise further on this.

Before submitting an adoption enquiry it is important to ensure that you have read our adoption info page: Adopting a cat from Catcuddles.
