Fluffy boy Greenlanes arrived with us with wounds and a limp, and an angry red eye. An unneutered cat with no microchip he tested FIV negative despite his war wounds. His abcess was immediately cleaned and flush and he was given antibiotics to help recover. Greenlanes also had mild conjunctivitis in his right eye, which was also folded inward against his eyeball; a condition known as entropian. Greenlanes has now had surgery for his severe entropian condition so this has now been corrected. As he recovers from his surgery Greenlanes is looking for his forever home.

Estimated to be approximately 2.5 years old, Greenlanes was found living in a colony. Unlike the cats he was trapped with he is a friendly boy who is comfortable with us, so he likely had a home once, just got lost perhaps wandering in his search for a mate. Greenlanes would best suit an adult-only home or one with teenagers, with some previous experience with cats, where he can be the only pet with a back garden to explore through a microchip catflap in a safe location without easy access to the road.

Even if it becomes Greenlanes’ preference to toilet outside, like any cat who will have access to the outside he must always have access to a litter tray inside for his urinary health. Outside access is of course only after a minimum of six weeks in his new home.
