Murdock is a medium haired, tabby boy, estimated to be approximately 8 years old. He was rescued from a stray colony, and like other unneutered cats rescued from here, he has clearly been through the wars during his time on the streets. His days of living as stray are becoming a distant memory and he will be spending his first Christmas in who knows how long warm, fed and cared for. A more comfortable future now awaits him in his loving forever home. 

Murdock has FIV, or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. This diagnosis has come with a great deal of stigma in the past, even among vets, but it is not as many mistakenly believe a death sentence, nor is it easily spread. FIV can be passed onto other cats only through severe, deep bites, and FIV+ cats can live long, comfortable lives, with the condition simply making their immune system more vulnerable than average.

To avoid these risks to his health Murdock is in need of a spacious indoor home, ideally with a large balcony or terrace that can be cat proofed, or a home with a cat-proofed garden. Murdock can initially be a little shy, but he is is a pleasant, friendly boy who does not let anything faze him. A relaxed boy who takes everything in his stride, he enjoys human fuss and regular meals, and it is clear he must have had a home of his own at some point. We think Murdock would best suit a fairly calm home where he could enjoy his senior years in utter comfort being loved and spoiled. He is a fluffy boy so will also need regular brushing.
