Kitty
Kitty is a sweet 10 year old black and white girl. She has come to Catcuddles after a change in circumstances in her previous home meant they could no longer care for her.

Kitty can be a little shy of strangers but soon relaxes and shows her sociable side, before long she is purring away. Kitty has quickly become a volunteer favourite; she is adorable, gentle and affectionate, and constantly seeking you out for fuss.

Kitty does enjoy play but really she just wants to be your companion. She will happily sleep by your side or even behind your head, but when it’s time for attention you must submit to her demands or she will tap you with her paw or her face will suddenly appear, her head touching yours! Kitty is a big fan of head rubs, head butts, head scratches, she’s a very sweet, loving cat.

Kitty has recently seen our trusted vet at our new cat clinic for a senior health check, which includes blood and urine tests. These show she has early stage kidney disease. This is very common in older cats and many cats enjoy a good quality of life for several years after initial diagnosis. As a result Kitty is now eating a renal diet, which can be easily purchased online from retailers such as Zooplus, from pet shops or even the vet.

We would recommend that Kitty has regular blood and urine tests to monitor her kidney function so in addition to taking out lifetime insurance (which is always recommended), her adopter would need to be financially comfortable to cover the cost of vet care in relation to monitoring her kidney disease.

Kitty would make an ideal companion for a quiet, settled home where she can be the only pet. Kitty is used to having outdoor access so ideally her new home would have a garden she could potter around in, with dawn to dusk access via a microchip catflap into the back garden. Her forever home needs to have garden access in a safe location, away from busy roads. Kitty is not a fan of other kitties, so the ideal area for her will not be full of resident, roaming or “community” cats.
