Ziggy - RESERVED
Four year old Ziggy is a sensitive boy. A much loved cat, changes in his previous home overwhelmed him and he is looking for a calm, settled forever home with no children and no other pets now, or in the future.

Once he is comfortable with you he will relax and accept fuss on his own terms. Ziggy is a very beautiful loving cat that can be very cuddly at times but can also can get overwhelmed in certain situations and give you a warning nip. Ziggy will need an experienced adopter who will give him the time and space he needs to adjust to his new home and provide stimulation to help him burn off excess energy.

In his previous home, Ziggy unfortunately experienced a urinary blockage, which may have been stress induced due to changes in his home. For the past 18 months he has been on a specialised diet along with a daily dose of cystaid, to reduce the chances of this recurring, and this will need to be adhered to in his new home. It is not at all tricky as his food can easily be purchased from online retailers such as Zooplus or Fetch. We encourage Ziggy’s prospective adopters to do their own research into the costs of managing a cat with a health condition but Ziggy’s needs and the implications of having a pre-existing condition not covered by his pet insurance can also be discussed further with the adoptions team.

Ziggy is looking for a laid-back, stress free environment; an adult only home where he can be the only pet is the best option for him. Though his adopters will need to keep an eye on him for any recurrence of urinary issues, a quiet home with minimal stress should keep his urinary health stable.

Ziggy’s new home should have a quiet garden to explore, in a safe location away from busy roads with no possible access to the road. A terraced network of gardens would be ideal. Ziggy will need to have a microchip catflap fitted at the back of the property within a month of adoption as any cat going out will need a way to have easy access back into the home. A microchip catflap will help to avoid any unexpected guests, which is an important consideration for any cat, particularly a sensitive cat like Ziggy.

Ziggy is being fostered at our South London hub in Abbey Wood, SE2.
