Pippa
Calico 16 year old Pippa is a sweet, friendly girl. She is looking for her forever home, with people to call her own who will love and cherish her as the only pet in a settled, adult-only home.

Pippa is a gentle and friendly cat with a calm and undemanding temperament. Her loving and well-balanced disposition endured in spite of the considerable upheaval she has experienced over the years, being rehomed several times through no fault of her own and coming to Catcuddles at a senior stage in her life. It was a testament to how resilient, adaptable, and good-natured she really is.

Pippa is a bright, curious kitty with a calm energy about her. She’s cuddly, amusing, low maintenance, surprisingly spritely and playful.

Pippa has hyperthyroidism and is currently receiving treatment for this through twice daily liquid medication, which she takes with food. Hyperthyroidism is a common condition that mostly affects senior cats; with the right treatment and regular health checks, cats with hyperthyroidism enjoy a good quality of life.

Gentle, lap cat Pippa is looking for a calm, committed, loving home and is happy to be an indoor-only kitty. Anyone adopting an indoor cat from us needs to be committed to creating a stimulating and enriching indoor environment and ensuring it is safe, i.e. cat proofing any windows that will be opened, and fully cat proofing a balcony, terrace or garden if there is one. When catproofing this means ensuring it is fully enclosed, not permitting access is not usually sufficient. If their family are using the balcony, the cat should also be able to and whilst a cat will not jump if there is nowhere to go, accidents can and do happen so this is essential to do to ensure the safety of your adopted cat. The adoptions team can offer further advice on this.

Pippa is being fostered in Stoke Newington, N16.

No matter what their age, all adopted cats leave Catcuddles with trial insurance and this is important to take out, even for a cat like Pippa who has a pre-existing health condition that will not be covered by this. For our senior cats the trial insurance is with Agria and if a policy is purchased within the trial period then you’ll be able to take out a policy for lifetime cover.

Our priority is to match felines with homes that suit their needs, character and long term requirements. Please be aware that when a particular cat receives an unusually high volume of enquiries, our dedicated adoptions volunteers may only be able to pursue the most promising. We appreciate your understanding.
