If ever there were a pair of cats in need of a special home, then these two are they. Please let me introduce you to the most lovely pair of cats, Biscuit and Smudge.
Both have lived together with an elderly gent who sadly passed away leaving these 2 babes in need of a new home.
Why are we looking for that very special home? Well within minutes of coming into care it was clear that Biscuit (ginger girl) had very poor sight if not blind. She has done brilliantly well in finding her way around her pen and her brother Smudge(black boy) helps her along. We think she has some long distance vision and this allows her to find her way about if a little clumsy. We have no idea if this will deteriorate or stay the same. What we do know is that she copes so well with it.
..and why a special home for Smudge, well, he's just such a lovely lump of a cat-  why not. To be truthfull he has had a urinary tract blockage in the past, but we feel this may be due to him being overweight, considerably overweight!! Since being in our care, we have had no problems and the vets are happy with him.
Both cats were overweight when admitted and have been on a diet, which needs to be continued and weights managed into the future.
They have ben kept as house cats all their 10 years of life, but boy, do they love to watch the birds and the garden in their foster home. Smudge would just love to get his paws on green grass and feel the fresh air on his face. Biscuit would too, but any outings to the garden for her would need to be manged. Their ideal home would have a catio where they could enjoy the outdoors in safety, or an enclosed and very safe garden. Their home would need to offer plenty of space for them to get reasonable exercise, being able to go outdoors safely would add to this.
Biscuit is a lap sitter and attention seeker, a real time waster!! She'll take space on your lap all day if you allowed it and enjoy a good brush and  lots of petting.
Smudge likes to play and dreams of being a hairy hunter, even if the quarry is only a toy mouse or feather duster. He also likes lots of petting, but his sister does tend to push him out. 
So a couple or grown up family who have lots of time to give these two special cats and a quiet home where furniture doesn't get moved around too much for Biscuit. Plenty of room to enjoy in the house and icing on the cake would be a safe outdoor space for them to enjoy the wonders of the great outdoors.
