ARC - The Ashmore Rescue for Cats
Rehoming Cats & Kittens: West Midlands
Paris, Kisses and Lily
VERY SPECIAL INDOOR HOME REQUIRED FOR 3 SIBLINGS
This is the post I added to my rescue page on FB. It was a very difficult post to write and I couldn't face starting all over again on here so I'ver shared the original instead.

I don't really know where to start with this post but somehow I need to find the words  (A LINK TO FB IS AT THE BOTTOM)
Earlier today I had a very upsetting conversation with the mother of a lady who adopted 3 kittens from The Arc last year. You may remember back in November, Janie tragically passed away very suddenly leaving her last kitten Judy all alone. Gemma very kindly offered Judy a home with the two siblings who she had already adopted from us. Now named Paris, Kisses and Lily, all three accepted each other again and their little family was back together. Gemma loved these kittens with all her heart, she would regularly message me with updates and photos and she spent so much time helping them build their confidence.
I heard the saddest news ever from Gemma's mom today though, the lovely Gemma had tragically taken her own life yesterday. Gemma's mom found her and while there she also found numerous notes around the home asking her mom to take care of her babies - Paris, Kisses and Lily. Sadly Louise isn't in a position to take them all on as much as she would love to fulfil her daughter's last wishes so she has contacted me to see if I can find a wonderful new home for all three together.
So now the search is on to find these three beauties a very special home. They are scared little cats who came on so well with Gemma caring for them but I know that they will slip back some what when they move. They will need someone who can give them all the time in the world to build their confidence again. They need a strictly indoor home as they will panic and disappear if they get outside. A very calm and quiet home with no children is required in order for them to feel safe. I will NOT separate them so please do not ask. These babies need a safe and secure loving home. Their little world has fell apart, Gemma was their whole life and now she is gone they don't understand where she is.
If you feel you can offer all three the home they truly deserve please send your full address and a contact number plus a little info about your home and family life so that a homecheck can be arranged.
Their story is in the link below.
Please can I just say that Gemma was such a lovely bubbly person who always seemed so happy and full of life when I saw her, to hear this awfully sad news today has been heartbreaking. Please don't assume that because someone is smiling on the outside that everything is fine inside - mental health has a way of deceiving people, making loved ones and friends think everything is ok when it really isn't. Make sure you check on your loved ones and look out for warning signs, if someone wants to talk give them the time - you may just save someone's life.
Sleep tight Gemma, I'm so sorry that you felt life was too much. I just wish I had known as I would have tried to help you. I'll make sure your babies get the best home ever, take care of their mommy Janie in heaven for me
