REserved Lenny
Beautiful Lenny is a 3yr old white and tabby male, he is neutered, microchipped, flea and worm treated and vaccinated. He will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.
Lenny was rehomed but us 18 months ago but as his owners are relocating abroad he needed to come back to us to find a forever home.
Lenny was origianlly found in someones garden with an awful injury to his tail. Upon x-raying Lenny we were totally shocked by what was found, even our vets said it was the worst break they had ever seen, his tail had been literally pulled from his body leaving a 3cm gap in his spine! How this boy was still functioning we will never know and we did have to consider what quality of life he may have but as he was so bright and so young we decided he needed to be given every chance so went ahead and amputated the tail as high up as possible and kept everything crossed.
Well this lad just absolutely amazed us! The day after his surgery he was up and about, eating well and most importantly (and amazingly ) has not been left with any ill effects of his injury apart from some slight sensitivity at the base of his spine.He really is a miricle boy.
Lenny is a super friendly boy who craves attention and just loves having lots fuss and cuddles, he will make a great addition to a family home. He would love a home with plenty going on and lots of attention.
Lenny has lived with a female cat before and whilst they werent best of friends he could happily share his home with other female felines or can be homed as the only cat in the home. Despite his ordeal since being in the rescue he has got used to cat friendly dogs (we believe it was a dog who tried to grab him by the tail causing his injury). He can live with sensible, gentle children aged 5yrs and over and will need a home away from any busy roads where he can go outside and play once settled in.
Lenny is being fostered in Swadlincote, Derbys but can be rehomed further afield to the right home subject to homecheck and donation.
