Ruby came to us from a multi-cat household, and it's taken her time to settle. She is a nervous cat, but has gained in confidence and enjoys coming up for head bumps and gentle strokes. It will take Ruby time to settle in her new home so she needs patient, understanding humans who won't expect too much too quickly and will let her decide for herself when she's ready to enjoy a fuss. Ruby needs a quiet home and wouldn't mind if you were out at work during the day.
She would like a home with a garden to explore, but it will be several months before she's ready to go out - she must be fully confident in the home before venturing outdoors.
Food is very important to Ruby and she can be a little snatchy when you are serving up her breakfast and dinner. We will talk potential adopters through how best to manage this behaviour in the home.
Ruby is a real favourite with everyone at the sanctuary and we'd love to see her continue to blossom in a home.
