YCR DURING CORONAVIRUS During the current lockdown period, YCR has made the decision to close our centre for adoptions.  All the cats will be cared for in either foster homes or by on-site staff/volunteers at the centre.  If you would like to express an interest in a cat you see on the website, please email with your name, address, contact details and the reference number of the cat in question.  We will speak to you about the cat and where possible will reserve the cat and then undertake a remote adoption when the cat is ready.

When I first meet you I will be very shy and may hiss at you but my fosterer says my hiss is really a hello and nothing more. I don't like to be picked up but that's cause I've been though a lot at the vets as I was involved in an accident and was in a very bad way when I came to YCR. I'm doing okay now though and YCR will give you all the information you need regarding my accident and injuries. You would never know I had pins in my pelvis as I can do everything that other cats can do. So I don't want to be wrapped in cotton wool I want to play and have fun. I am sensible and know what feels comfortable for me. Because of my injuries and shyness I don't want a home with little hoomans but I should be okay with those over the age of 12, this will take time however...So if your looking for a fun , cheeky cat (once I know you and trust you) and you don't want a cuddle cat. Then I'm the cat for you, please give me a chance!
