YCR DURING CORONAVIRUS During the current lockdown period, YCR has made the decision to close our centre for adoptions. All the cats will be cared for in either foster homes or by on-site staff/volunteers at the centre. If you would like to express an interest in a cat you see on the website, please email with your name, address, contact details and the reference number of the cat in question. We will speak to you about the cat and where possible will reserve the cat and then undertake a remote adoption when the cat is ready. PLEASE NOTE - there will be a considerable delay due to the current lockdown, we will try set up adoptions as soon as we can.

Hello there, I’m Bella, an affectionate and beautiful panther-cat. I’m a special girl with some special needs, who’s looking for a very special home. I’ve been re-homed through YCR once before. Although my hooman loves me very much, unfortunately I don’t get on at all with her other cat and this makes me stressed out and frightened. I have a disease called diabetes, which isn’t stable at the moment. This makes me feel poorly and I have to have an injection twice a day - which I don’t mind, as long as it comes with food. It also makes me very hungry, which means I want to eat all of the time - I’ll eat anything I can get my paws on if you’ll let me (which apparently you shouldn’t).
Being inside and cosy is my favourite thing after food, what I love is to curl up on the lap of a friendly hooman purring the loudest purr that you ever heard in your life. The hoomans think my diabetes might get a bit better if I was in a less stressful environment without a cat I don't get on with. Do you have a place in your heart and on your lap for me? All I ask is that you are kind and patient. Sometimes I do things I shouldn’t, but it’s only because I’m poorly. I know this can be a bit challenging at times, but I have so much love to give you in return. YCR will pay for my medicines and tests for the rest of my life so you don't need to worry about that. I absolutely adore hooman company and just can’t wait to find a special new family of my own.
